Establishing the mood with a pulsing beat with textured detailing, we are already hypnotized by Tus ojos. The composition expands with celestial nuances and an enigmatic riser to deliver an anthemic, synth pop meets disco hybrid soundscape.

Tus ojos opens with the assertive lyrics, “No vas a volver, a verme a tu lado nunca más, siempre estás igual, jodiendo todo aquello que va bien, no, nadie va a aguantar hasta el final, no, no vas a encontrar a Superman…”

This translates as “You won’t come back, to see me by your side ever again, you are always the same, screwing up everything that is going well, no, nobody is going to last until the end, no, you are not going to find Superman…”

The song evolves to touch upon the themes of a toxic relationship and dj Moderno puts it “a very bad night where many thing occurs”.

A lyrical highlight is the powerful and evocative, “Nadie entiende hoy lo que voy a hacer, pero yo quiero probar otra vez, sé que es difícil de entender, y aún así yo te quiero tener…”, which translates as “Nobody understands today what I’m going to do, but I want to try again, I know it’s hard to understand and still I want to have you…”

Tus ojos really demonstrates the complexities of dealing with difficult romantic situations, whist fused with a mesmerizing electronic soundscape. It marks the second single from dj Moderno‘s album La Nave Nodriza which is out now!

The opus comes with a colourful and cinematic, narrative-driven visual, partially set at the bumper cars in a theme park, and also features an outstanding performance from our protagonist.
