]]> Following the release of various tokidoki dolls in the guise of Unkle Karl (even Gaga went to bed with one), the brand announced a rather badass watch pendant/watch necklace in later summer showcasing the iconic guise of the Kaiser in metallic form (originally silver and now available in gold) – sunglasses and all.

To add to the collection, the Japanese-inspired lifestyle brand has added a selection of commercial wrist watches. My personal favourite is the ceramic white featuring a monochrome design – which is certainly more true to the aesthetic of Unkle Karl. ]]> Launching in Europe (namely the Karl Lagerfeld stores in Berlin, Amsterdam and Paris plus globally on NET A PORTER), here’s a look at the tokidoki (meaning: “sometimes” in Japanese) x KARL LAGERFELD capsule collection, featuring three look-a-like character dolls and ready-to-wear clothing, bags and accessories.

As always in true Unkle Karl style, this is the first time that a designer has launched a lookalike tokidoki doll/set of dolls (created by Italian artist Simone Legno). It also includes an incarnation of Choupette – named Mr. Choupette – so we now know that Choupette is a gay cat (I thought she was a girl…). Check out images and the video below.
