Drawing us in with panning vocalizations, expanding into a super dimensional tech house crescendo with cerebral ad-libs, Dual Mono and Name ME open Time with intrigue and futuristic notions. We immediately connect with the hypnotic energy that manifests and the melodic riffs which also include disco slide interconnecting motifs.

The pitched vocals add a subversive and industrial edge to the piece, which is complemented by the track’s artwork. The vocals pull out to deliver an almost cathartic, deep house moment before a climactic EDM-adjacent rebuild with textured toppers and a vocal reprise. The dance-pop interludes are genius, adding a touch of melody to the visceral overarching experience, which is also what the track concludes with.

There is something almost otherworldly about Time. The track feels designed to alter our state of consciousness. We can imagine this being particularly powerful in a darkened room at FOLD in London, surrounded by strobes and bodies moving as one, where the distinction between the individual and the collective energy of the dance floor totally dissolves.

There is no doubt that the track would also be perfect for a club like Berghain, Fabric, Printworks, Amnesia Ibiza or Hï Ibiza, whilst the futuristic production could also sit beautifully within the more immersive electronic environments of Village Underground or Phonox.

We also connect with the way Dual Mono and Name ME balance the visceral with the melodic. The track could easily have remained locked into its industrial, tech-house framework, but the dance-pop motifs open another energetic portal, giving us something melodic to hold onto.

Founded in Tallinn in 2025 by producers and musicians Anton Ragoza and Kovalenco Gennadi, Dual Mono are already beginning to establish themselves within the European electronic scene. Their approach moves fluidly between EDM, dance and deep house, with sound design and expressive melody placed equally at the centre of the experience. We love that Time feels less concerned with fitting neatly into one electronic genre and more interested in creating an atmosphere. It is energy, style and movement, but there is also a cerebral quality that gives the track longevity beyond the dance floor. Their appearance in the Beatport Deep House Top 100 suggests that the project is already beginning to gain traction, and Time feels like another step into that wider electronic landscape.

Needless to say, we are drawn into the frequency of Time and have added the track to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TRIPPY playlist, whilst we continue to explore the wider discographies of both Dual Mono and Name ME.

Setting the tone with an astral synthscape creating sonic ebbs and flows and cosmic waves, AZA (US) opens Time with spiritual wisdom as she sings, “Time is an illusion, there is no confusion, there is no contusion, feelings of seclusion…”

The words resonate like a prophetic mantra, and we appreciate the intentionality that AZA (US) writes with. The accompanying sonic design is dimensional, tapping into a high vibrational frequency, as AZA (US) shares her poetic prowess with us.

We appreciate the switch ups with her flow, showcasing her versatility as an artist. The shimmering energy of the production adds value to the ethereal notions that manifest with the prose. Speaking on the release, AZA (US) confesses, “I believe this song has personal meaning and it is a song that is open to interpretation. The melody is also powerful where it would draw someone in.”

AZA continues on a philosophical level, “This was influenced by past, present, and future. Specifically, my past, present, and future. In the hook, I [sing] ‘There is no contusion, feelings of seclusion’. I’m talking about in my life when I had a concussion/whiplash and when I was dealing with feeling secluded in the mental hospitals in my twenties. The whole concept of ‘Time’ is saying how can we get ‘Time; back in essence or even change events to never have occurred.”

AZA (US)‘s timbre is captivating, and we can imagine the track locking in a sync placement for a movie like a sequel to Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. It is also perfect to listen to when you need to connect with source, or start your day with a conscious re-up.

Elaborating on her influences, AZA (US) adds, “Prince directly influenced me with this track. I was thinking of his song Sign ‘O’ the Times. I gave a shoutout to him at the one part of the song where I said, I wonder in wonder in ruins of SIGN, how do you know time?’.” We love this nod to Prince, and can imagine that he would definitely connect with AZA (US)‘s intentional message.

We learn that Time was recorded at MB Pro Studios in Bethlehem, PA and the production was designed by Lebanon Don Beats. Needless to say, we are in awe, and have added Time to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TIMELESS playlist, whilst we continue to stream the wider discography of AZA (US), including Release Yourself, Take My Heart, Starz, and Look At Me.

For centuries, we’ve imagined time as a straight line – the past behind us, the future ahead, and the present as a fleeting moment in between. But new thinking in quantum physics suggests that this picture may be far too simple. What if time doesn’t move forward at all? What if it folds – looping back on itself so that our present actions might subtly shape what has already been?

The Strange Nature of Time in Quantum Physics

In classical physics, time always flows in one direction, driven by entropy – the natural tendency for things to move from order to disorder. But on the quantum level, the laws of physics don’t actually prefer a direction. They work the same whether time runs forward or backward.

This symmetry has led some physicists to propose that cause and effect may not be as straightforward as we think. In certain interpretations of quantum mechanics, the future might have just as much influence on the past as the past does on the future – a concept called retrocausality.

When the Future Influences the Past

Retrocausality suggests that quantum particles might “decide” their state not only based on past conditions but also on future ones. This idea helps explain some of quantum physics’ strangest experiments.

For example, in the delayed-choice experiment, scientists find that a decision made after a particle passes through a barrier seems to affect how that particle behaved before the decision was made. It’s as if the particle “knew” what the future held – bending the rules of time as we understand them.

In 2025, physicists also demonstrated time-reversal in quantum systems, showing that under controlled conditions, atomic states could be rewound – essentially making time run backward for those particles. These findings don’t mean we can rewrite history, but they do suggest that time may be more flexible than we ever imagined.

The Folded Fabric of Time

If time can move in both directions, we might think of it less like a line and more like a fabric – one that bends, folds, and loops. Every choice, every observation, might send ripples not just forward but also backward across this fabric, linking moments that seem separate.

In this view, your present moment isn’t a single point trapped between “what was” and “what will be.” It’s part of a vast, interconnected web of events – a living structure that includes past, present, and future all at once.

Science Meets Philosophy

These scientific ideas echo what philosophers, mystics, and spiritual teachers have suggested for centuries: that all time exists together, and that awareness or intention in the present can resonate beyond the boundaries of linear time.

Even ancient texts hinted at this idea. Ecclesiastes 3:15 says, “Whatever is has already been, and what will be has been before.” It’s a poetic reflection of a truth that modern physics is only beginning to glimpse – that time may not be a one-way stream, but a boundless ocean of connections.

What This Means for Us

If time truly folds, then every action we take carries more weight than we realize. Our choices ripple not only into the future but may also reshape the story of the past – not by changing what happened, but by altering how reality fits together as a whole.

In that sense, every act of awareness, kindness, or understanding might heal more than just the future. It might also bring peace to the past – to every version of ourselves that ever hesitated, suffered, or hoped.

A New Way to See Time

Whether or not retrocausality turns out to be true, the exploration of time in quantum physics invites us to think differently. Maybe time isn’t something we travel through – maybe it’s something we create, moment by moment, with our choices, our consciousness, and our connection to everything that has ever been or will ever be.
