Drawing us in with a meditative synthscape featuring astral tones, shooting textures and a psychedelic adjacency, The Vigilante opens Tell Me with intricacy and dimensionality before sharing philosophical depth with a brooding and poignant vocal delivery.

The opus expands with a cinematic allure and there is no doubt that Tell Me would be perfect for a Hollywood coming-of-age movie with a political or social lens, or perhaps a TV show like Designated Survivor or House of Cards. We appreciate the growing, industrial dynamism that the opus manifests with layered vocals and questions that almost serve as an introspective mantra for a spiritual and societal awakening.

The Vigilante confesses, “This song is about the weight we all carry. From ICE raids tearing families apart, to women being told what they can or can’t do with their own bodies, to people still being judged for who they love — it’s all connected. We’re watching rights being stripped away while power hides behind a smile. Tell Me is me screaming back into the noise.”

There is no doubt that the song hits like a viscerally sublime warning siren in the dark. The message feels really important, at a time when we need it as a collective. We deeply connect with how the track calls out to a world that is losing its grip on freedom.

We learn that this serves as The Vigilante’s mission statement – intentionally designed as a mix of 80’s synth nostalgia with a modern industrial grit, produced by Alex Koch. The visionary, elusive artist confesses how his voice has been shaped by David Bowie’s theatrical nuance, Depeche Mode’s emotion, and Nine Inch Nails’ edge – we can definitely feel this come to life!

Naturally, we are in awe, and have added Tell Me to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TIMELESS and TRIPPY playlists, whilst we anticipate future releases from The Vigilante!
