TATE SEDAR’s When You Hold My Hand mash-up is a masterclass in blending iconic tracks into a seamless, 10-minute journey through the evolving landscapes of progressive and bass house. By fusing Knock2’s hold my hand featuring Sophia Gripari with Afrojack’s When You’re Gone (with additional production by Jewelz & Sparks and vocals by Esther Dean), TATE creates a sonic experience that feels both nostalgic and cutting-edge. This isn’t just a remix; it’s a reimagining that elevates the original elements into something transformative.

The mash-up unfolds with a purposeful ebb and flow, balancing moments of emotional introspection with explosive, high-octane peaks. Every transition is deliberate, guiding listeners through lush harmonic buildups and euphoric drops. The bass hits with precision, while the synth layers add a dimensionality that feels expansive yet cohesive. The interplay between the tracks creates a narrative arc, ensuring the full 10 minutes are engaging without ever feeling repetitive or overstretched.

What truly sets this mash-up apart is its playful and multi-dimensional production. The glitch-pop nuances and 8-bit adjacent synths lend a nostalgic, almost video game-like quality, while the anthemic basslines ground it firmly in the festival circuit. It’s a fusion that evokes the energy of a late-night Ibiza rave, the communal excitement of Coachella, or the immersive soundscapes of a Hollywood club. The vocal production is immaculate, blending the emotional resonance of Esther Dean and Sophia Gripari’s voices into the arrangement without overwhelming the instrumental depth.

TATE’s creative process adds another layer of intrigue. The mash-up was born from a serendipitous discovery that both tracks shared the same key, a realization that inspired him to explore their synergy. This organic starting point translates into a natural flow throughout the mash-up, where the elements of both tracks feel like they were always meant to coexist. The accompanying visuals on Instagram and TikTok further enhance the experience, blending the music videos of the original tracks into a dynamic representation of the mash-up’s energy.

Beyond its technical brilliance, When You Hold My Hand is also a reflection of TATE SEDAR’s artistry and his vision for the future of electronic music. As he delves into what he calls “post-EDM,” TATE draws from his personal soundtrack – Motown, disco, hip-hop, and rock – while embracing the tools of modern electronic production. The result is a progressive sound that bridges the analog warmth of his influences with the digital possibilities of today’s technology.

This mash-up is more than just a dance track; it’s an exploration of how electronic music can evolve by integrating the familiar with the experimental. It’s bold, dynamic, and endlessly engaging, proving that TATE SEDAR is not only redefining what a mash-up can be but also carving out a distinct space in the electronic music landscape. We always love what TATE SEDAR creates, and continue to stream his growing body of work!

TATE SEDAR’s latest single, Coming Home (I.M.U), is a triumphant return to progressive house, bringing with it an emotional resonance that solidifies his distinct post-EDM sound. With its euphoric energy and dimensional production, the track is a testament to SEDAR’s ability to craft music that belongs on massive global stages.

From its opening, the song’s atmospheric female vocals draw us into a soundscape of longing and nostalgia. The delicate yet powerful delivery captures the song’s essence – a homesick ache for someone you miss and the comfort of finally returning home. It’s a universally relatable concept, brought to life by lyrics that balance emotional depth with simplicity, making the track feel timeless and deeply personal.

What makes Coming Home exceptional is its intricacy. The sound design here is meticulously crafted: astral synths swirl and build alongside shimmering keys, layered strings, and poignant mandolins, evoking both euphoria and melancholy in equal measure. Each element contributes to the track’s emotive ebbs and flows, with builds and drops that are executed with precision and subtlety – a nod to TATE SEDAR’s deep understanding of progressive house’s golden-era dynamics.

The production strikes a unique balance between nostalgia and innovation. TATE SEDAR effortlessly melds the grand, expansive chords reminiscent of 80s synthwave with modern electroacoustic flourishes. The result is a soundscape that feels as much like a heartfelt reflection as it does a forward-thinking festival anthem. The second build, marked by its soaring chord stabs, is particularly notable for its cinematic grandeur – a moment that feels like driving through the rolling hills of TATE SEDAR’s beloved San Francisco at sunset.

Coming Home (I.M.U) is a declaration of artistic identity. By weaving elements of progressive house with his signature post-EDM style, TATE captures both his beginnings and his evolution as an artist. The track feels like home in itself – a sonic space where the past and present converge, offering listeners a feeling of comfort and belonging.

In an age where dance music often prioritizes drops over substance, TATE SEDAR reminds us why progressive house became a beloved genre in the first place. With its heartfelt concept, soaring production, and emotional precision, Coming Home (I.M.U) is a modern anthem for anyone who has ever missed someone or found solace in returning home. It’s an electrifying close to 2024 – and proof that TATE SEDAR is a force in electronic music who refuses to be confined to the past or present, but instead, charts a course uniquely his own. We have added the opus to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TIMELESS playlist whilst we continue to stream both the original and the extended mix, as well as TATE SEDAR‘s growing discography!

TATE SEDAR’s remix of Eat Sleep by Kx5 and Richard Walters is a stunning transformation that opens with atmospheric vocals and introspective prose, layered with dimensional nuances. The track builds with emotional depth and drama, eventually unveiling a boundless rhythmic synth and cerebral bass drop. The futuristic soundscape feels tailor-made for the pulsating energy of festivals like Tomorrowland or Coachella, boasting a metallic, spacey edge. Its meditative ebbs and flows are punctuated by magnificent rebuilds that captivate the listener throughout. Each switch-up in the remix feels intentional and unique, making it a true masterpiece.

Coming off radioplay success with his electropop/post-EDM track Our Goodbye (featuring Liv Kennedy) and a high-play remix of John Summit and Hayla’s Shiver earlier this summer, TATE SEDAR delivers another standout with this hybrid remix. This project stems from a remix competition held by Kx5 in the spring of 2023 and represents a seamless fusion of tech house and techno. TATE’s ability to marry these genres while also drawing subtle influences from complextro and fidget house adds an innovative flair. His nuanced approach is further informed by his early musical roots, which include influences like Tiësto, BT, and Dance Dance Revolution soundtracks.

The remix introduces an electric-piano breakdown accompanied by ear-catching lead chords. Previewed live at Academy LA during the summer of 2023, the track’s somber yet sanguine breakdown struck a chord with the crowd, setting the stage for its full realization. TATE skillfully crafts a sonic palette that feels both familiar and fresh, incorporating bass-heavy fakeouts, rumbling low-end drops, and techno-inspired leads. The euphoric second drop, featuring brash techno elements and a pluck-pad chord progression, closes the track with a satisfying blend of energy and emotion. It resonates as much with fans of Deadmau5 and Kaskade as it does with listeners of electro and progressive house.

By carefully balancing nostalgia with modern production techniques, TATE SEDAR creates a remix that feels timeless. Its on-the-pulse soundscape recalls two decades of electronic music, while its adaptability ensures it works for clubs, warehouses, and large venues alike. Though the competition winners were announced last December, TATE has stayed true to his vision, releasing this remix independently. It’s a testament to his artistry and belief in the track’s power to move crowds. Now available on his SoundCloud channel “RE: TATE SEDAR,” the remix is a perfect warm-up for the autumn season, delivering the same uplifting energy it brought to live audiences.

The lyrics, performed by Richard Walters, add a poignant layer of reflection to the remix’s dynamic structure: “All the things you did without me, is it fair to say we’re done? Chop and change between your feelings, are we too far gone?”. The chorus, with its emotive refrain, perfectly complements the remix’s energy: “Love, you, haven’t been off my mind, don’t know how to move on, saw the signs in your eyes, didn’t know what I’d done, don’t know what I should say, baby, all that I do…”

This remix is an electrifying journey through sound and emotion, solidifying TATE SEDAR as an artist capable of bridging genres and eras in electronic music.
TATE SEDAR stands at the vanguard of post-EDM, a genre he himself has been pivotal in shaping. As a groundbreaking producer, his work transcends the conventional boundaries of electronic dance music, fusing analog and digital elements to create a sound that is both nostalgic and innovative. We have featured a slew of his previous releases, and there is no doubt that TATE SEDAR‘s ability to craft emotionally resonant tracks while maintaining the high-energy pulse of EDM has set him apart as a visionary in the music industry.

Drawing us in with an atmospheric riser, expanding with dimensionality and a stunning acoustic guitar performance, the TATE SEDAR remix of Cutting Loose opens with ethereal vocals from Anabel Englund with timeless lyrical themes touching upon hedonism and independence.

The opus evolves with glitched vocals, into a dark and moody universe rooted in a subversive, EDM bassline with percussive textured, tripping into a meditative sense of clarity before the return of the acoustic guitar reminds us of the emotional, overarching core of the song.

We are obsessed with the vocal design and cerebral synths, the evocative ebbs and flows and the serene, yet dynamic energy that manifests. The finale reminds us of Berghain in Berlin with a pulsating and fierce energy, concluding with an anthemic build and leaving us yearning for so much more! An iconic overall adventure!

The genesis of the TATE SEDAR Remix takes us back to 2021, where a soundcheck at one of Academy LA’s first post-pandemic shows led to TATE meeting Disco Lines in the booth. Unfortunately, TATE had to ‘cut loose’ and temporarily leave the venue – having previously organized a meetup with friends before his own closing set – and miss Disco Lines‘s opening set. However, this moment would plant a seed for both of their futures.

Fast forward to EDC Las Vegas 2023, where TATE ran into Disco Lines in the Artist Lounge. This festival marked a major milestone in TATE’s career, as he encountered familiar faces and artists he looked up to, igniting a new level of inspiration. Later in 2024, TATE became enamored by the silky vocals and vivacious rhythms of Cutting Loose by Disco Lines, J. Worra, and Anabel Englund upon its release. We learn that before even touching his DAW, he envisioned a techno-formatted remix with guitar accompaniment under Anabel Englund’s voice.

The dichotomy of bittersweet acoustic-pop and relevant techno sounds breeds a satisfying array of auditory experiences, easily absorbed in or outside of the club. Although the consciously astute TATE missed Disco Lines’s set at Academy, he sees this remix as a remedial act and a form of reverence—not just for Disco Lines‘s hustle from TikTok to main stages, but for all the talented acts involved.

We love the remix, and are streaming it on loop via SoundCloud, anticipating its release on all streaming platforms, whilst we continue to immerse ourselves in Disco Lines‘s original version of the song, and TATE SEDAR‘s exquisite, growing discography!

By now you will know that we are huge fans of TATE SEDAR – an emerging force in the electronic dance music (EDM) scene, known for his dynamic soundscapes and innovative production techniques. Hailing from the vibrant music scene of Los Angeles, TATE SEDAR has been making waves with his distinctive blend of genres, which seamlessly integrates elements of house, future bass, and progressive electronic music.

His latest opus is the Radio Mix of My Fire for Titus1, which opens with an atmospheric synthscape and textured riser, expanding with ethereal vocals to draw us into an emotive universe. The piece evolves with a high octane energy to take us on a super dimensional trip with a divergent and magnetic acid bass.

The ebbs and flows of the composition are refined and tap into our heart’s centre, whilst delivering a fierce overarching EDM experience. The My Fire remix for Titus1 showcases the impact of bass and electro house on the dancefloor and highlights unexpected moments.

At it’s core, My Fire is a progressive house track with female vocals about desire, and we learn that it is released exclusively with remixes by TATE SEDAR, Toxic Wraith, Ginseng, and Atwood on Kult and Kraft Records. The immensely talented TATE had already been exploring and mixing Titus1‘s tracks for years, and their chance meeting happened when Titus1 traveled from Canada to support Curbi at Club Catwalk in LA in 2023, where they discovered mutual connections and established a friendship!

In early 2024, Titus1 offered TATE the opportunity to remix My Fire. Initially unsure about a vowel lead in the track, TATE’s outlook changed after experiencing the high-energy bass-heavy genres at Beyond Wonderland SoCal 2024. This festival inspired him to embrace robust, lower-frequency sounds, resulting in a remix characterized by a deep, powerful melody, intricate 2-step rhythms, and a surprising “fakeout” build, creating an unexpected twist for listeners.

We love the result, and have added My Fire to our New Music Spotlight playlist, as well as our brand new TRIPPY playlist, whilst we continue to stream TATE SEDAR‘s impactful discography, and anticipate future releases and collaborations from the visionary creator.

Intriguing us with a celestial frequency and rising plucked guitar details, TATE SEDAR opens his latest release, Find a Way with atmospheric lyrics singing, “I could find a way….”

As the song expands, we experience textured details fused with clicks, whilst the beat begins to immerse us fully. Find a Way is also accompanied by a music video featuring the rising artist performing in nature, in San Francisco, London, Syracuse, at college and more locations that really amplify the multi-dimensionality of TATE SEDAR‘s reality.

The inspiring journey that TATE SEDAR takes us on is high energy, but also emotive and thought-provoking. Find a Way is a fusion of of rocktronic breaks and exultant house and the visual recounts “a career starting at 11 met with obstacles of balancing life and music” and features a pensive breakdown which leads to reborn passion in 2020, and the version of TATE SEDAR we are experiencing today.
