The lyrics manifest notions of nostalgia with brilliant and intelligent pop culture references to bring to life this idealized romance for his muse, and to express a deep infatuation and hopeful anticipation for a magical, movie-like connection.

Speaking on the release, the rising star confesses, “This song is about falling in love with a stranger and feeling that spark from the very first moment you meet. It was inspired by a time when I instantly connected with someone on a date – it felt like we already knew each other, almost like living in a fantasy. I wanted to tell a story that captures those summer vibes and the excitement of a fun first date.”

Tarantino comes with a music video that features Chris in his signature Greco-Roman setting, donning a white tank top with a microphone set up outside, but also in the studio. This shows the artist in his raw element as a singer, dreamer and thinker. It allows us to connect with Chris on an emotional level, and the camera work and cinematography are simply flawless.

With reference to the recording process, Chris says, “The song was recorded in my home studio, tucked away in my basement. It’s a space where I feel comfortable and free to experiment, which made it the perfect place to bring this track to life.”

On his influences, he adds, “These days, I’m inspired by artists like Knox, who is making his own path in the pop-rock genre — the vibe of this track is similar to some of his songs. I was also influenced by MKTO, especially their song Classic, which helped shape the feel and energy of this release.”
