Enticing us with a cerebral and dimensional riser, SWiiMS open All I Die For with intrigue, a luscious guitar soundscape, atmospheric vocals and the evocative prose, “Feel the sun coming down on me, I lie to never say goodbye, the summer in your eyes is calling for me…”

We immediately connect with the philosophical nature of what SWiiMS share, and the introspective depth the the song provides. Poetic nuance, metaphorical constructs and an immersive sonic energy all contribute to creating a captivating masterpiece.

We learn that All I Die For is the first single from the band’s first full length LP, Into The Blue Night. Speaking on their art, the band confess in a self-realized manner, “The song is both intense and beautiful, like the first stages of falling in love.”

The band consists of Mai Diaz Langou, Colin Thompson, and Cian O’Ruanaidh who all perform vocals and guitars, with Cian on bass. Mai tells us, “SWiiMS was born out of a desire to make the kind of music I was hearing in my head, without compromise.  I wanted to make the music I to make that I loved with like-minded friends.”

SWiiMS cite 80s New Wave, 90s Indie Rock, Brit Pop, Shoegaze, and Dream Pop as their sonic influences, which we vibe with deeply, although it is clear that the band is designing a universe of its own.

The accompanying music video for All I Die For is a cinematic adventure with captivating performances that bring to life the emotion of the song in an authentic and visionary manner.
