Establishing the mood vocal add libs fused with an immersive soundscape, STØNEWÅX opens his single, THE GREAT HARMONIC CONVERGENCE with intrigue and dimensionality.

The opus expands with the atmospheric vocals and introspective and empowering lyricism featuring Meanjin based artist, MC Roman. We appreciate the echoes, cerebral detailing and subversive and dynamic flow from MC Roman, which adds a worldly nature to the otherwise other-worldly sonic landscape.

Fans of The Roots and Gorillaz will be able to connect with STØNEWÅX and MC Roman‘s collaborative effort. THE GREAT HARMONIC CONVERGENCE takes us on an epic and transcendental adventure and the bar is indeed set high for the first of many of STØNEWÅX‘s upcoming collaborations.

The final moments of THE GREAT HARMONIC CONVERGENCE deliver a dramatic building energy that features a stripped back yet climactic soundscape, but also highlights an epic chant-esque delivery from MC Roman. We are mesmerized and cannot wait to indulge further in STØNEWÅX‘s sound.

Steve Summers aka STØNEWÅX is an experimental producer, engineer and musician based on the Sunshine Coast, which we can feel come though in the amplified conscious energy of his sound. Speaking on his artistry, STØNEWÅX simply says ,”This is my meditation… I’m an escape artist…”

An explorer of sonics, and an artist in many forms, Steve has been moulding his style into something truly provocative. Wacky, wonky, and other-worldly, he tends to lean into his love of hip hop and psychedelia, to create new worlds which immerse and entertain.

We learn that STØNEWÅX produced THE GREAT HARMONIC CONVERGENCE in his home studio with the tools he knows best. He wanted to create without the genre boundaries or any limitations which allowed him to achieve the perfect flowstate. Roman MC came up with the lyrics which are also about the push-pull flow that we all deal with in life, the sway between emotions and state of mind.

Working alongside Paulie B and OJ Newcomb at Yama-Nui Recording Studio, some of Steve’s credits include Dear Doonan, Homewood Sapiens, JaZZella, Chris Ah Gee, Swimsuit Issue, Dr Mann, Endless Valley, Ziggy Alberts, Kurilpa Reach, Darcy Kate, Demi Casha, Aspy Jones and Dorah Jacson.

STØNEWÅX says with humility with wisdom, “I have learnt so much creating with all of these great people. I’m so grateful. Once you learn enough that you no longer need to fuss the techniques, you can do great things. Flow creates the art. These songs are the result. Thanks to all the people that support this project.
