Speaking on the release, the creators confess, “Short King started out as a fun, tongue-in-cheek idea – a short guy shooting his shot with a tall woman. At its core, it’s about confidence and charm in the face of something that’s supposed to be a disadvantage. We leaned into that with a ton of energy and wit, and the result is an upbeat indie rock anthem that doesn’t take itself too seriously but still hits hard.”

mustbejaded continue, “The song was written in a bedroom while our band was just beginning to figure out our sound and style. That raw, DIY spirit stayed with us throughout the process – recorded with limited gear but a lot of heart.”
