The opus expands with an experimental and subversive energy, as our protagonist, also known as Bristol-based singer and pianist Carolin Seitz, conveys a theatrical vibe with luscious vocal range and rippling, fantastical keys – needless to say, we are obsessed.

The drama is tangible, and we appreciate seitz‘s poetic prowess and intentional depth as she takes us on a philosophical and thought-provoking trip with her intricate mind.

seitz cites Kate Bush, Tori Amos, and Fiona Apple as some of her sonic influences, although there is no doubt that the rising creator is establishing a universe of her own. She describes her overarching conceptual architecture by inviting us to “enter a world of mystery and paradox, where existences are fluid and nothing is quite as it seems…”

The Web comes with an equally cerebral, film-noir music video, edited by the artist herself, which not only shows off seitz‘s multi-disciplinary skillset, but allows us to connect with her on an authentic level.

We learn that in order to create her soundscapes, seitz combines various keyboard instruments with synthetic and programmed sounds to accommodate both classical and contemporary compositional techniques.
