Enticing us with and extended, crisp acoustic guitar introduction expanding into a hybrid soundscape that fuses drums, percussion with an enigmatic electric guitar, we are already hypnotized by Seasoning‘s latest release, Del Boca Vista.

Opening with the thought provoking lyrics, “My daddy works a hard day, sitting in his car, while I’m at home waiting, he’s drinking at a bar…”

Seasoning, which is the brainchild of multi-disciplinary artist Lachlan Buckle, goes on to sing atmospherically about how he wants to carve a different path from his “daddy”. The song explores a relationship that has been strained over time and in need of a change as the chorus explains “I don’t want to live that way.”

Del Boca Vista is the second single from Seasoning‘s debut EP The Condensation, which is due’ out 10th June 2021, and features a cinematic one take video directed by Jack Cassidy.

We are obsessed with the textured strings featured in the middle eight, which builds epic emotion, in line with the sentiment of the song and the freedom that Seasoning so craves.

It is no surprise that Seasoning has gone on to make festival appearances at Yonder 2021 and Mountain Goat Valley Crawl 2022 and has upcoming shows supporting the likes of Andy Shauf, Cate Le Bon and Bananagun.
