Opening with a whirring frequency, immersive drums and nuanced and cerebral synth details, we are already mesmerized by the opening of Screaming Bones‘ new release, It’ll all come in time.

The first track is aptly called Journey through your inner Cosmos, Pt 1 and invites us to take a voyage of self-realization with the composer, who has also released an accompanying music video featuring psychedelic visuals that replicate a hallucinogenic trip.

We love the soundscape and visual landscape that has been created by Screaming Bones, which is the brainchild of Mike Ludwig, who records all the sounds in his bedroom studio on a four-track recorder and looper.

The opening opus which clocks in at over thirteen minutes long is hypnotic, vibrant and seductive, allowing us enough time to forge an almost meditative connection with the universe through the multi-disciplinary experience.

Screaming Bones believes in the healing powers of music for himself and his intention is to expand this knowledge and process to help others. The creation of It’ll all come in time has helped Ludwig battle his depression and burnout.

He says, “It was painful to make at times when depression killed all creativity, but in the end, the music always won.”

The second track on the record is Open the Doors…, which lends itself to a melodic experience with arpeggiated electric guitar that feels sensual and universal, but also enigmatic and luxurious. The guitar performance is intentionally out of this world!

Eve is the third track on the album, which opens immediately with a psychedelic vibe, the repetition of the more industrial guitar has us feeling like we just micro-dosed on mushrooms and the ancient civilisations-esque synth is bold and meditative.

The fourth track is Destruction, which kicks off with a more industrial and cinematic vibe, this track feels more subversive and takes us on a darker and moodier path. Next up is And make it sound good which again lends itself to a more meditative vibe, as anticipation builds in the track and we become more immersed.

The intention of these two tracks is to “deliver a sound of helplessness and mourning about the current state of the world.”

We then experience Journey through your inner Cosmos, Pt 2 for just over 20 minutes, which is a highly fulfilling experience taking us full circle from the debut of the record, and we are in awe of the passion demonstrated from Screaming Bones in this magnanimous and refined opus. The track feels captivating, and Ludwig says, “Making music is like painting, you generate a musical canvas, on which you paint your emotions, one after another. Finding your own sound is a journey that never ends. Try to explore, experiment, don’t get restrained by too much theory.”

We love the organic approach and the human sentiment that is evoked through that sense of oneness with the universe through the creative process. All of the sounds on the record are created by Ludwig, while the final finishing has been done by Patrick Burkholder of Zenmix Recordings.

Our journey concludes with the Outro of the record which leaves us with a an optimistic and brighter energy, with hope for the better.
