We previously featured Samaistha for notions of love energy and a conscious awakening on the meditative composition, Upgrade Your DNA, so when we heard that the project was back with Where The Senses Meet, we were curious and couldn’t wait to immerse ourselves in artist Jürg Schwarzenbach‘s universe once again.

Where The Senses Meet poignantly comes in a 5 minutes and 55 seconds, and opens with an astral frequency and atmospheric vocalizations. Healing, immersive energy surrounds us as we are drawn into a state of peace and oneness.

The opus expands with spiritual vocal harmonies, inviting connection with ourselves, the universe, and as detailed in the title of the track, our senses. We feel waves of hypnotic energy pulse through us as the soundscape builds with a repeated motif, evolving with cosmic dimensionality.

We appreciate the intricacy of the composition and the cinematic allure that manifests. There is no doubt that Where The Senses Meet would be perfect in a psychedelic TV show like Nine Perfect Strangers, or perhaps a movie like Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. The climax of the track is subtle, and designed for repeat plays of the song as it unfurls, leaving us yearning for more.

Needless to say, we are immediately enthralled by the high vibrational frequency and intentional depth of the composition. We are invited into a peaceful and connected universe where we can identify with oneness and the eternal.

The piece feels important and zeitgeist, at a time when society needs artistry like this the most. In line with the title of the track, Upgrade Your DNA, Samaistha reminds us that we are the embodiment of love energy.

The track is perfect to experience when you need a re-up in the morning. It would also be great to listen to on the go, or during a vinyasa or hatha flow. The sound design is created with frequencies that feel warming, healing and uplifting. The textures of the vocals are sublime and wholesome, like a beautiful conversation with the universe. We feel at one.

The switch-up for the final segment of the piece feels cerebral, the vocal design changes, and luscious harmonies guide us as we reach the completion stage of the intentional upgrade with the lyrics, “we are complete”. There is no denying that the piece also holds a cinematic allure and would be perfect for a movie like Avatar.

Breaking boundaries of spiritual music, we learn that Samaistha‘s music has been played on numerous radio stations both in Switzerland and worldwide. This shows how the veil is lifting, and the mainstream is more open to these conscious conversations. For some context, Sama(i)stha (समस्त) is a Sanskrit word meaning “complete,” “entire,” “whole,” or “all”.

Samaistha is the brainchild of 48-year-old music producer and composer Jürg Schwarzenbach, and Upgrade Your DNA also comes with an alternative, soothing ambient instrumental version as the B-side. It is slowed down and focuses on expansive synthesizer soundscapes.
