Following his recent performance as a live art sculpture at the V&A, the brilliantly unique Philip Levine – a ‘life performance artist’ who displays his art on his bald head, is launching his first ever solo exhibition Headism at the Dutch Cultural Gallery Space. Supported by Gillette, the exhibition will be showcased in London’s Fitzrovia between 4th – 9th May where Levine will be unveiling never seen before head designs.
Breakthrough filmmaker Viviane Castillo was also hand picked by artist Philip Levine before graduating this year to direct and produce a documentary to go with the Headism exhibition.
With this prestigious accolade, public art enterprise ArtBelow chose Castillo’s work to be featured in their first ever ‘Art in Motion’ display where a thirty second preview (below) will be seen by the travelling public on the London Underground over 1000 times to promote the show. Keep your eyes peeled on Liverpool Street station’s Westbound Central Line Platform from April 11th.
Headism will run at the NL Dutch Cultural Pop Up Space between 4th – 9th May 2011: NL Dutch Cultural Pop Up Space, 40/42 Riding House Street. W1W 7ET
