Peaked is shaping up to be one of the more talked-about comedy projects in development for 2026. The story centers on two women who dominated their high school years and now, a decade after graduating, are desperate to recapture that glory at their 10-year reunion. The central theme is nostalgic and chaotic, with a focus on female friendship, regret, and absurd attempts to relive youth. 

Storrie, who recently broke out with his role in Heated Rivalry, is currently in talks to join the ensemble cast. His specific character details have not yet been released, but the project will mark one of his first major film roles following his rising profile from that series. 

Gordon not only directs Peaked, she also stars in it and co-wrote the script with Allie Levitan, a writer and producer known for her work on Saturday Night Live. This continues Gordon’s growing career behind the camera after her successful creative collaborations on films such as Theater Camp. 

The cast is designed to be a mix of established stars and rising talent. Already confirmed to be involved are Laura Dern, Simone Ashley, Emma Mackey, Levon Hawke, Mitra Jouhari and Gabby Windey. These performers bring experience from both film and television, suggesting the project aims for a broad audience appeal with strong comedic and character work. 

Production is expected to begin soon, with filming scheduled to take place later this year, according to reports. Peaked is financed and produced by A24 in partnership with producers David Hinojosa and Zach Nutman of 2AM, with Levitan serving as executive producer and Topic Studios co-financing the film. 

Because the project is in its early stages there are still many unknowns. No trailer or release date has been announced, and creative details like specific character arcs or plot twists remain under wraps. Casting can also evolve as production gets closer, and roles are often confirmed more fully once principal photography begins.

Overall, Peaked looks to be another bold and offbeat comedy entry from A24, driven by a strong ensemble and a creative voice in Gordon, who continues to expand her footprint as a filmmaker in addition to her acting work.
