Setting the vibe with an elegant acoustic guitar fused with immersive sonic frequencies, Outside Yp opens his latest single, Lonely Revenge, with the vulnerable and clever lyrics, “I call you, you answer, it’s ASAP, we Rocky, you pick up the phone just to say you don’t love me…”

Speaking on the concept of the song, Outside Yp says, “This song is about people that fall apart inside due to heartache but yet continue to smile and push forward. The lyric video showcases this by placing a character in a road with chaos surrounding them. Yet they never stop the journey.”

As Lonely Revenge expands sonically, we experience a pulsing beat, intricate high hats, enigmatic risers and dimensional bass, cohesively in synch with epic flow from the rising artist.

Lyrical highlights include the introspective “swear when it’s love you can feel like a dummy” and the optimistic “oh you’re heart is still bleeding, boy toughen up…”

We love the breakdown towards the end with a cerebral dirty bass that really envelopes us!

Speaking further on the track, Outsider Yp says, “Telling someone how you feel never seems to get any easier. The more you try to give yourself to someone and fail, the less attached you begin to feel to your emotions.”

The rising artist from Cork continues, “I think I’ve begun to believe that it’s all pointless. I liked a girl for many years and eventually garnered the courage to tell them and surprisingly they didn’t believe me. They told me that my feelings weren’t real. That I couldn’ possibly like them. It must be something else.”
