The star also tells us, “I intended for this track to go to an artist like Doja Cat, so I put a lot of eccentric energy and flows on the song. I ended up really liking how everything came out and got to keep the song for myself.” We could definitely hear Doja on this, maybe she can hop on for a verse in the future, but we love that Amayah kept it for herself!

We learn that One Time was born out of a writer’s camp hosted by CMG Breezy, where Amayah teamed up with J Stacks, who brought a full studio setup from North Carolina that made her vocals sound nearly fully mixed straight from recording!
