Establishing the mood with a textured cymbal riser, OGGY opens Another Dream with emotive lyrics and a dimensional soundscape as she sings, “I need you to love me, I need you to care, I need you to find me a reason to stay, I need you to guide me, upon all the stars, because there’s a place for us…”

The opus expands with a pop-rock meets EDM hybrid energy as OGGY taps into a high emotional quotient with an anthemic adjacency. In essence, the song is about longing for love that feels uncertain and fragile.

OGGY pleads for affection, guidance and validation. She needs the subject of her desires to give meaning and stability to her emotions. There’s an authentic desperation in the need to be loved, even if it means accepting something that might not be real. This feels very zeitgeist and relatable, considering the state of reality right now.

Another Dream explores this tension between belief and illusion. OGGY wants to believe her partner is the right one, yet deep down senses that the connection may be fading, or simply built on pretence.

In the end, the song captures emotional chaos and self-realized notions. The star recognizes the mess their love has left her in. She remains lost, confused and guessing. Despite everything, she still clings to the hope that the relationship holds some truth, even as another dream dies.

We appreciate the urgency that OGGY performs with. The way we can hear her literal breaths feels raw and real. There is a cinematic allure to the track, perfect for a montage scene with Maddie in Euphoria on HBO perhaps. The spoken word moment is a great addition.

OGGY, also known as Olga Savic, is a London-based singer, songwriter and actress whose musical journey began in April 2021 with her debut single Morning After Love, followed by Shut and Find My Way.

We learn that the star has trained extensively, earning an MMus in Music Performance from Kingston University, attending private vocal lessons, and completing courses at Point Blank Music School in London and Los Angeles.
