]]> My latest musical obsession, as you may have noticed, is MØ. So when I saw that a new track had dropped, I was almost nervous to click play. I doubt I am the only person this happens to – it’s the innate fear that an artist you have fallen in love with after three tracks might drop something sub-standard and disappointing, thereby eliminating the eventual possibility of you loving them forever. It taints something and I think that is why it is so easy to be obsessed over a new artist, because they haven’t had that chance to actually disappoint you..yet.

Anyway…”Never Want To Know” is the follow up track from the Diplo produced XXX 88 and it is completely different, yet completely perfect and completely remixable in a rather epic Lana-esque way. I mean, it sounds like Jeff Bhasker produced it. It’s actually kinda epic. Her voice cuts through for the first time on any track, there is even a middle eight reminiscent of National Anthem or This Is What Makes Us Girls. Let the critics cast it off as a Lana rip-off, but it is fucking perfect.

MØ’s debut EP Bikini Daze is out October 20.
