You will know by now that our obsession with nasmore is unconditional, so when we heard that the superstar producer was back with When It Feels So Fake, we had a feeling that we were in for an eye opening trip!

Immediately we are enamoured with the philosophical depth the situational perspective that we are drawn into. We learn that Gabriel and Waz are the featured vocalists on the opus, and we adore the fusion of their voices – the alternative rock and ethereal hybrid vibes have us gripped throughout the track!

Enticing us with a textured riser, and a fusion of enigmatic keys and piano with synth detailing, Safe in my Dreams features vocals from Dana Miuccia and delivers a subversive and futuristic James Bond energy, needless to say, we are obsessed.

The soundscape is immersive, refined and poetic and we could definitely see Safe in my Dreams featured in an iconic James Bond film, or equivalent! The exquisite Spanish-inspired guitar on the track is performed by Neil Taylor.

Safe in my Dreams expands half way through to deliver a more robust experience as Dana’s vocal delivery becomes more passionate, even though we love the slurred vibe that they deliver.

Regina, Canada based rising artist nasmore has also just released “Mind in a Maze”, following the release of the super catchy Let’s get freaky.

Mind in a Maze features vocals from RyanMusiq and lends itself to is a cinematic ands bold odyssey, almost reminiscent of early Linkin Park with a contemporary rock-pop fusion. We love the drums and guitar and fearless energy of the track that dives into the thoughts, feelings, and emotions that build us up and break us down.

Lyrical highlights from the opening include, “I run away just to get found, underground and the truth still slips out“, “they never tore down the temples, it’s just a new coat of paint“, and the powerful chorus hook “is the sick man sane or do the sane get sicker?“

The narrative of the song evolves with additional introspective lyricism and wisdom questioning the evolution of our species. The ambitious four minute song also features a rap verse and polished outro-breakdown.

From the top, Let’s get freaky by nasmore featuring Cris Hodges is a super exciting journey, the artwork alone proves it! The track opens with the captain of an airplane (or space ship) style voice requesting a soundcheck, silence and the camera to roll. We are ready!

The vocal gives an almost Maroon 5-esque energy, sexily delivering the chorus teaser “let’s get freaky, jump from the countertop”, followed by the first verse opener, “I’ve been deep in so called love, Swimming in dreams from above, But nothing wakes me up“.

Other lyrical highlights includes “`I just wanna leave a memory in your mind” and “just an angel reach for that prize“.

The mid-part of that track gives a Michael Jackson energy, reminiscent of They Don’t Care About Us, particularly with the percussion, the last half delivering ancient civilisations chanting atop the luscious acid guitar as the hook becomes more cemented in our minds. nasmore really does leave a “memory in our minds’!

The Canadian-based artist grew up constantly attached to his stereo system and the instruments surrounding him, fully immersed within music of all kinds as a listener, while teaching himself the fundamentals of how to write and play his own songs.
