The emotive and self-realized artist is embarking on a campaign to bring awareness to addiction and the opioid crisis, using music and science.

Mama Don’t Give Up serves as an empowering soundtrack to the campaign, crafted with genius by Lewis Kofi Nana Antwi, known professionally as Nana Kottens. The song is designed to provide inspiration, hope and motivation to individuals and families struggling with addiction. 

The video features a passionate and immersive video with our protagonist delivering a heartfelt performance fused with elegant cinematography of a funeral scene, opening with the bold text reading: ADDICTION IS A DISEASE

We love Nana Kottens’ emotional delivery and the hook, “mama don’t give up, don’t give up, oh don’t give up” has really stuck with us. With this piece, Nana Kottens reinforces that “addiction is  a disease of the brain, not lack of will”.
