14 minutes of pure unadulterated art directed by Lady Gaga with choreography by Richard Jackson, art direction by Gideon Ponte and Darius Khondji as director of photography – this is probably her best work yet.

Marry The Night is my second favourite track from Born This Way (behind Scheiße) and bearing in mind that it is the most personal song from the album to her as she is essentially telling the story of the trials and tribulations that lead her to become who she is to day, the video BEYOND does the track poetic justice. The last minute in particular is outstanding, as are the first eight. The exclusive interview on E! under the cut.

It is almost as if I don’t feel in the position to post about this until the full video hits. It’s odd and artistic, and the fashion references are comical and flawless. She also says the word “BAM”. This is The “Girl Interrupted-esque” Prelude Pathétique of Gaga’s video for Marry The Night – set to be her longest video to date and a true insight into the story she has never told. Personally I cannot wait for the self directed “epic” to drop.

Also, you don’t have to check Nicola Formichetti’s website for the fashion credits in this clip – the nurses and Gaga’s outfits are next season’s Calvin Klein…and the shoes? Well…
