Drawing us in with an intimate piano introduction and subtle percussion, Pandemonium opens Dalí with a metaphorical verse from Charlton Banks as he raps, “I’m the centipede my identities hold so many hands, mark of the beast the whole span of the land…

Overall, the song, which manifests with creates ebbs and flows between rapped verses and sung choruses, explores identity and confusion in a chaotic world. Charlton’s words symbolize multiple identities and roles. He reflects on the emptiness of society, notions of people chasing causes and opinions without true understanding, as well as his own struggle to find meaning or peace.

We then experience the ethereal vocals of Claire Ray, who adds an introspective energy. She “hangs her hat” and wonders which version of herself, or others, tells the truth. The hook is about elements of uncertainty and self-reflection, not knowing which identity is real or what to believe. Her vocals bring a haunting calmness to the chaos of the verses.

This leads us to Maffmatix, who continues this theme with his rapped verse, describing the fight between good and evil, truth and deception within himself. In essence, he questions whether he is indeed Jekyll or Hyde, ergo the good or the bad, and if his actions are genuine or solely performative. The song ends with recognizing life’s constant change, suggesting identity, morality and truth are always shifting.

The production is sublime, we are in awe of the finale with a high emotional quotient brought to life by an exquisite piano solo, strings arrangement and of course, Claire’s vocal prowess. Dalí also comes with a mesmerizing music video designed to plunge us into the Dalíverse – a surreal, dreamlike realm inspired by the genius of Salvador Dalí.

Set against a vivid backdrop of the artist’s iconic imagery, the video follows Maffmatix, Claire Ray, and Charlton Banks as pan-dimensional travellers moving through a shifting landscape where reality and imagination intertwine.
