Establishing the mood with a subtle bassline, expanding with a cerebral organ synth, Lunatraktors open Life, Clay and Everything with self-realized and conscious spoken word from Keith Brymer Jones, as he imbues us with his wisdom and the prose, “We all have it within us to make change, to physically and psychologically change the path, whether that be in relation to career or personal life…”

The opus evolves with philosophical depth and a tangible authenticity as the creators take us on a journey inward and beyond. Speaking on the affirmative intention behind the release, Lunatraktors and Keith Brymer Jones, who is best known as Channel 4’s master potter, confess, “Everyone deserves access to creative education: creativity is a human right. This track celebrates creative self-transformation, the value of following your heart, and the power of kindness. The most important thing we want to promote is the idea of creativity being the key to wellbeing. It must be available to all. Arts education is essential, now more than ever. It’s about love, care and accessibility.”

With reference to how this powerful and dramatic composition and accompanying visual came to life, Lunatraktors elaborate, “We met Keith Brymer Jones and partner Marj Hogarth on the Margate arts scene in 2019. In 2020 we collaborated on a livestream for NSEAD (National Society for Education in Art and Design), improvising music to the hypnotic sights and sounds of Keith throwing shapes at his wheel. This video is the inside of a bowl, one of thirty that Keith threw for our wedding celebration in March 2023.”

We also learn that the release coincides with the return of Keith Brymer Jones and partner Marj Hogarth‘s theatre tour, Life, Clay and Everything. In 2022, Keith asked Lunatraktors to make some music for his final ‘rant’ in the show; two years later, this opus is the result.
