<p>By now, you will know that we are huge fans of <strong>Richard Tyler Epperson</strong>, having featured his <a href="https://karlismyunkle.com/2022/10/03/track-by-track-preview-of-richard-tyler-epperson-epic-cinematic-and-dimensional-upcoming-album-a-wandering-mind/">epic, cinematic and dimensional album, A Wandering Mind</a>, and <a href="https://karlismyunkle.com/2024/11/22/december-night-richard-tyler-epperson-teases-upcoming-album-shares-a-sonic-odyssey-of-emotional-entanglement/">December Night</a>, which served as a sonic odyssey of emotional entanglement. When we heard that Richard was back with <strong><em>Like Everything Else</em></strong>, we were curious to say the least, and couldn&#8217;t wait to listen and share our experience. </p>

<p>Drawing us in with dramatic keys and a cerebral textures, Richard shares a bold vocal with glitch pop sound design as he sings, &#8220;I know that you lied, I can take it, feeling like my mind won&#8217;t stop shaking, it&#8217;s haunting me&#8230;&#8221;</p>

<p>We appreciate the evolution in the star&#8217;s artistry. It&#8217;s giving badass empowerment energy and we are here for it. There is an introspective nature to the lyrics, but it is clear that there is a sense of catharsis in the sound that <strong>Richard Tyler Epperson</strong> is manifesting with <strong><em>Like Everything Else</em></strong>. There&#8217;s a resounding optimism and self-realized power. The guitar solos are fierce, and the sound is definitely stadium ready, reminding us of early <strong>Muse</strong> and a little bit of <strong>Maroon</strong> <strong>5</strong>, in the best way possible. </p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img data-recalc-dims="1" fetchpriority="high" decoding="async" width="1020" height="1020" src="https://i0.wp.com/karlismyunkle.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Like_Everyting_Else_2500px.png?resize=1020%2C1020&#038;ssl=1" alt="" class="wp-image-47106" srcset="https://i0.wp.com/karlismyunkle.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Like_Everyting_Else_2500px.png?resize=1020%2C1020&amp;ssl=1 1020w, https://i0.wp.com/karlismyunkle.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Like_Everyting_Else_2500px.png?resize=632%2C632&amp;ssl=1 632w, https://i0.wp.com/karlismyunkle.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Like_Everyting_Else_2500px.png?resize=768%2C768&amp;ssl=1 768w, https://i0.wp.com/karlismyunkle.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Like_Everyting_Else_2500px.png?resize=100%2C100&amp;ssl=1 100w, https://i0.wp.com/karlismyunkle.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Like_Everyting_Else_2500px.png?resize=1536%2C1536&amp;ssl=1 1536w, https://i0.wp.com/karlismyunkle.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Like_Everyting_Else_2500px.png?resize=2048%2C2048&amp;ssl=1 2048w" sizes="(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px" /></figure>

<p>The design of the vocals is literally incredible with subtle echoes, but the high EQd vibe also gives it that pop-friendly and synch-deal friendly aesthetic that feels super contemporary and simultaneously timeless, and aligned with the poignant message of the song. </p>

<p>As a multi-instrumentalist, <strong>Richard Tyler Epperson</strong> traditionally takes on a number of roles in the creation of his music, namely vocals, lyrics, piano, synths, bass, and guitar. Supporting him on <strong><em>Like Everything Else</em></strong> and the wider project of his upcoming album, <strong>Fragmented Night</strong>, is <strong>Nate Barnes</strong> on drums, <strong>Nate Kohrs, Wassim Rahmani, </strong>and<strong> Fabrice Lacourt </strong>on electric guitar and synths, whilst <strong>Volodymyr</strong> shares backup harmonies, and <strong>Ali M </strong>and <strong>Archie McCallum</strong> aid with songwriting, and <strong>Roman Styx</strong> handles mixing and mastering. </p>

<p>We love the bolder direction that <strong><em>Like Everything Else</em></strong> is taking us in, and the emotional depth that <strong>Richard Tyler Epperson</strong> is bringing to life with the opus. It feels authentic, relatable, and strong. We have added <strong><em>Like Everything Else</em></strong> to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TIMELESS and TRIPPY playlists, whilst we anticipate <strong>Fragmented Night</strong> in its entirety!</p>
