The first preview of the highly anticipated soundtrack for The Great Gatsby has arrived! The soundtrack is executively produced by Jay-Z and features Beyonce and Andre 3000 covering Amy Winehouse‘s “Back to Black,” a track by Lana Del Rey called ”Young and Beautiful” (originally intended for Born to Die) plus the new Florence & The Machine track “Over the Love”. You can hear snippets of all three on the preview video below.
The soundtrack also features Jay-Z himself, will.i.am, Fergie, Q-Tip, Florence and the Machine, Emeli Sande, The xx, Gotye, Jack White, Nero, Sia(!) and more. Full list under the cut.
The first official single from the soundtrack will be Lana’s “Young and Beautiful” (you might have noticed that her cover of Chelsea Hotel No 2 wasn’t actually for the soundtrack) – the video drops on 22 April with the full album out on 7 May.

Undoubtedly the most beautiful male vocals to grace the indie-pop scene since, well, ever. Here’s the debut from Australian-born but London-based singer-songwriter Josef Salvat. Giving an air of mystique with no official bio available online isn’t the only comparison you will end up making to (an early) Lana Del Rey after hearing this. From a male vocal standpoint, Josef reminds me of a cross between Mark Knopfler (Dire Straits), Morrissey and Colin Vearncombe (Black, ‘Wonderful Life’) – yet tonally superior than all of these collectively.
Josef is working with Rich Cooper on production. Artwork shot by Louis Banks. ‘This Life’ is released on 25th March. Video directed by Sophie Andrea Tabet and remixes below and under the cut.
