Still one of electro-pop’s best kept secrets, I Am A Camera (British duo consisting of Ian Watt and Francesca Ross) has unveiled their latest offering since their recent buzz track (and notably darker) cover of the Pet Shop Boys’ 1987 hit ‘Rent’ and their official remix of Lana’s Born To Die (listen under the cut).
“The Legendary Children” has an inspiring 80s-esque feel with standout lyrics like “devotional sinners we will be” – it’s a track about being you (but not in a cliche Katy Perry/Jessie J pop kinda way), in their own words “a hymn to everyone out there doing it for themselves”.
The band is set to unveil a music video with creative nodes to Spring Breakers, Dee-Lite, Pedro Almodovar and Roy Lichtenstein. “The Legendary Children” is released on digital Sunday August 25th on Tim and Danny Music.
