The fact that Lana Del Rey has finally delivered a Bond theme feels like a long delayed cinematic inevitability. With First Light for 007: First Light, she leans fully into that myth. Co-written with legendary Bond composer David Arnold, the track is not just orchestral. It is drenched in classic 007 DNA, with swelling strings, ghostly piano, and that slow burning, fatalistic grandeur the franchise thrives on.

First Light plays like a smoky prequel to Bond himself, focusing less on the spy we know and more on the fragile mythology forming underneath. Del Rey’s voice is the centerpiece. It is hushed, tragic, and almost detached, as if narrating from beyond the story rather than within it. This is where she excels, and where the song quietly outclasses many modern Bond themes.

The orchestration is unmistakably traditional. Arnold’s influence is clear in the brass swells and suspenseful string crescendos, evoking the tonal palette of earlier Bond scores. Del Rey softens that grandeur with her signature melancholia. The result feels cinematic yet intimate, less explosive than the biggest Bond anthems but more emotionally textured and lingering.

Lyrically, the song leans into duality, identity versus performance, love versus duty, reality versus illusion. While full official lyrics are still emerging, early snippets and listener discussion point to lines about “playing the game,” shadows, and first light breaking through darkness. One short excerpt circulating, “Play it like a game,” captures the core idea. Unlike classic Bond themes that center on romance or danger, First Light feels self aware. It frames Bond’s life as something constructed, almost artificial, which fits perfectly with the idea of an origin story.

At its core, the song explores becoming Bond rather than being Bond. The “first light” metaphor suggests awakening, identity forming at dawn before the myth fully takes shape. Del Rey’s recurring themes such as fatal love, faded glamour, and the performance of identity map seamlessly onto a young agent learning to wear a persona.

There is also a subtle commentary on control. If life is a game, who is really in charge? Bond, the system, or fate itself? That ambiguity gives the song its emotional weight.

First Light does not try to outdo past Bond themes. Instead, it seeps into you, moody, elegant, and quietly devastating. It feels less like a spectacle and more like a memory forming in real time, proving that Lana Del Rey was always destined for the world of 007.

To place this moment in context, the Bond theme lineage includes icons like Garbage, Shirley Bassey, Paul McCartney, Adele, and Billie Eilish, with Sam Smith taking the slot for Spectre. What makes this feel full circle is that Lana Del Rey had already written 24 as a deliberate Bond theme submission, something she later confirmed in a video interview, only to lose out to Smith at the time.

That history lingers in First Light, giving it the energy of a second chance that lands harder and with more intention. And honestly, doing it for a video game like 007: First Light feels more cunt than doing it for a film. Games live longer, they are replayed, inhabited, and obsessed over in a way movies rarely are, which means her voice is not just attached to a single cinematic moment but woven into an experience people will return to again and again.

Drawing us in with a cinematic, dark-pop soundscape and atmospheric vocals that intentionally nod to Lana Del Rey’s Music To Watch Boys To, Michelle O Faith opens Sex Ed. with an air of sultry intrigue as she sings, “Cos I like you a lot, and I always seem to get what I want, got seduction down to an art, BFFs say I’m doing too much, ooooh shit…”

We are immediately enamoured by the drama and dimensionality of the production. Haunting bells detail the opus whilst orchestral strings swell with dramatic tension. There is no doubt that the self-produced artist is crafting a soundscape that is both lush and suspenseful. Michelle’s vocal delivery is full of charisma, flipping effortlessly between brooding tones, rap-inflected lines, and operatic flourishes, a testament to her formal opera training. The sound design is cerebral yet immersive, perfectly aligned with the vivid universe her lyrics conjure.

The timbre switch-up is epic as the track evolves into a genre-blurring hybrid of dark-pop, alternative, and cinematic noir. We love the expansive energy that transmutes both desire and mischief. As for the narrative, Sex Ed. explores flirtation, allure, and intimate encounters with audacious playfulness in a high school setting. Michelle’s storytelling is genius – captivating, immersive, and perfectly suited to a Netflix-style visual world, making it feel like an episode of Elite come to life in sound.

It is daring, intoxicating, and playful at its core. The interplay of bells, strings, and layered vocals creates tension and narrative momentum, making the track feel like a mini cinematic story. The production and vocal artistry combine into a thrilling musical experience, balancing decadence with sophistication. Sex Ed. is a masterclass in mood, storytelling, and sonic craft. The track would be perfect for sync placements in Elite, a Cruel Intentions sequel or perhaps even the series Sex Education itself!

Needless to say, we are fully in awe and have added Sex Ed. to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TRIPPY and TIMELESS playlists, whilst continuing to stream Michelle O Faith’s wider discography, including Black Lolita, Cobain Heart, Diamonds and Babies, and Motorcycle, Suzuki.

UPDATE: the song has landed and is a whimsical, cerebral suicide opus based around Sylvia Plath’s final decisions to use the stove…

On February 17, 2026, under a new moon eclipse that marks the beginning of the lunar year, Lana Del Rey chose to release her latest single, White Feather Hawk Tail Deer Hunter. The cosmic timing feels deliberate. New moons signal rebirth and eclipses intensify transformation, themes that have long pulsed through her work. This release also ushers in the third single from her upcoming tenth studio album, Stove.

Written by Del Rey alongside Jack Antonoff, Chuck Grant, Jason Pickens, and Jeremy Dufrene, and produced by Del Rey, Antonoff, and Drew Erickson, the track arrives with a homemade music video that continues her recent preference for intimacy over spectacle.

A Title That Burns: The “Stove” Symbolism

The album title Stove immediately invites interpretation. A stove is domestic, practical, nurturing. It is also dangerous. It provides warmth and sustenance, yet it can burn, scar, or destroy. In Del Rey’s lyrical universe, love often exists in that same paradox.

The stove imagery in the new single makes this connection explicit. In the second snippet, she sings:

Take my hand off the stove, hon
Yelling, “yoo-hoo, dinner’s almost done”

The line feels playful at first, conjuring a retro domestic scene. Yet it quietly echoes darker cultural memories. The stove inevitably recalls the tragic death of poet Sylvia Plath, who died by suicide using a gas oven in 1963. Del Rey has frequently drawn from literary heroines and tragic Americana, and the choice of album title paired with this lyric suggests she is consciously engaging with themes of femininity, domestic space, and the thin line between devotion and destruction.

The stove becomes more than a prop. It becomes a metaphor for love that nurtures and endangers at once.

The Sound and Its Classic Sample

Musically, the track blends pastoral Americana with dreamy pop textures. It samples Ella Fitzgerald’s 1964 cover of “Laura,” originally written by Johnny Mercer for the 1944 film Laura. That noir lineage adds another layer of romantic fatalism, linking Del Rey’s modern mythmaking to mid century longing.

Drew Erickson contributes lush strings, while Dean Reid and Laura Sisk handle mixing, giving the track a cinematic sweep beneath its playful country tinges. There are references to John Deere mowers and summer breezes, grounding the song in rural Americana, yet the melody floats with Del Rey’s signature melancholy shimmer.

Lyrics: Playful, Pastoral, and Slightly Ominous

The title may sound mythic, but the lyrics balance whimsy and intensity. Here are the currently shared snippets:

Snippet 1

[Jeremy Dufrene]:
You ready?
Hey, go!

[Lana Del Rey]:
He’s my white feather hawk tail deer hunter
Likes to keep me cool in the hot breeze, summer
Likes to push me on this green John Deere mower
I know you wish you had a man like him, it’s such a bummer

When I met him, like an arrow
Like a bird in the heart, like a sparrow
And it goes like snap, crackle, pop
We’re a match, it’s just in my bone marrow

There is a childlike lilt in phrases like “whoopsie-daisy” and “yoo-hoo,” contrasted by arrows in hearts and marrow deep connections. The language feels almost nursery rhyme sweet, yet the metaphors hint at permanence, impact, and heat.

Music Video Teasers and Fan Sightings

In the days leading up to release, Del Rey leaned into cryptic promotion. On February 7, she posted an Instagram story announcing the single and video, listing collaborators and confirming its homemade aesthetic. On February 11, fans spotted her in Manhattan wearing a shirt embroidered with the song title, a subtle but unmistakable tease.

She later shared promotional artwork by Australian artist Tara Strubing and even briefly revived her original @MissDaytona Twitter account, dormant since 2019. On February 15, she uploaded a snippet of the song and video, deleted it, then reuploaded a slightly altered version. Another clip followed the next day.

The teasers suggest a stripped back, intimate visual style. Early glimpses show Del Rey in sunlit domestic spaces and pastoral settings, reinforcing the stove, dinner, and deer hunter imagery.

Cross References in Her Discography

Longtime listeners will notice lyrical callbacks. Being “a bummer” nods to “Summer Bummer.” John Deere imagery echoes the Americana touches of Blue Banisters. Birds and arrows recall lines scattered across earlier eras, from “Black Beauty” to “Hot Hot Hot.” Even the line “I know you wish you had a man like him” mirrors the emotional structure of “Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd.”

Del Rey has always built a self referential universe, and this track expands it with domestic symbolism that feels newly pointed.

A New Era Ignites

Releasing White Feather Hawk Tail Deer Hunter on a new moon eclipse that marks the start of a new lunar cycle signals intention. It feels like a ritual opening, a quiet ignition before the full fire of Stove.

If the stove is both hearth and hazard, then this single is the first spark.

Establishing with a pristine performance of the original’s iconic arpeggio riff, Magumbo opens his cover of Say Yes To Heaven with precision and the high emotional quotient of Lana Del Rey‘s cult single. For some background, the song was originally written for Lana’s album Ultraviolence, then it was meant to be released during the Honeymoon era, and then on Lust for Life, it was eventually canned until a leak went viral on TikTok, followed by an official release in 2023 solely to claim ownership of the song and sound in an official capacity.

Whilst the original is extremely stripped-back, Magumbo‘s cover adds dimensionality to the song with a shimmering energy. His beautifully produced vocals are polished, whilst the original is in all fairness a demo.

The passionate, 80s rock vibes is welcome. The cover builds with new bass riffs, textured rising drums and an almost head-banging, club-friendly approach. We are in awe. The song itself is a romantic ballad about unconditional love, intense longing, and submission. The song symbolizes finding paradise through devotion, with lyrics emphasizing patience, loyalty, and “saying yes” to a blissful and spiritual union. Magumbo‘s energy with this stadium-ready cover, epic guitar solos and a rockstar vibes is extremely dope.

We learn that Magumbo is a solo project built on spectacle and freedom. It is bold. It is playful. It is unapologetically fun. Created as the brainchild of Josh Gallagher, Magumbo was born after years of writing and touring for others. Magumbo is completely self directed across audio, visuals and film. All crafted with a hands on, analogue loving approach.

Needless to say, we are obsessed, and have added his cover of Lana Del Rey‘s Say Yes To Heaven to our New Music Spotlight playlist and our TIMELESS playlist, whilst we anticipate future original releases from Magumbo!

Tonspion, Germany’s influential music magazine and one of the oldest music blogs in Europe, has confirmed that Lana Del Rey’s long-anticipated tenth studio album, Stove, is scheduled for release on January 30, 2026. This report has circulated widely on music fan networks and social platforms citing Tonspion’s inside scoop. According to these reports, the German outlet has published the expected release date ahead of most mainstream outlets.

A Brief Look at Tonspion’s Track Record

Founded in 1999, Tonspion began as one of the first MP3 blogs in Germany, championing legal music discovery and review at a time when such online resources were rare. The site has grown into one of the country’s most respected sources for music news, new releases, playlists, and cultural features, maintaining strong ties with labels and independent artists alike.

Over the years, it has been relied upon by music fans and industry watchers for early information on new releases, distribution plans, and artist interviews. This reputation helps explain why a Tonspion report on Stove’s release date has gained traction across fan communities.

Stove: Lana Del Rey’s Next Chapter

Stove marks Lana Del Rey’s tenth studio album, following 2023’s Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd. The project has had a complex and evolving rollout. Initially announced under the working title Lasso with a planned 2024 release, it was later renamed The Right Person Will Stay with a proposed May 21, 2025 date. That schedule was postponed as Lana continued to shape the album.

In mid-2025 Lana confirmed the final title as Stove and indicated that the album was intended for a late January 2026 release while explaining that she had added six new songs that were particularly personal, which extended production time.

Musically, Stove is poised to lean into a country and Americana-influenced sound, a direction Del Rey has hinted at in interviews and performances. She has described the record’s style as having a country flair, noting how her exploration of the genre has deepened over recent years.

What We’ve Heard So Far

Even without the full tracklist official, several pieces of Stove have begun to surface through singles and live appearances that suggest the musical and thematic terrain of the album.

Released singles tied to the album include:

Henry, Come On, released April 11, 2025, a track that blends classic country vibes with Lana’s signature atmospheric storytelling.

Bluebird, released April 18, 2025, which further showcases rootsy instrumentation and lyricism consistent with the record’s broader aesthetic.

Live performances throughout 2025 at festivals like Stagecoach featured songs believed to be part of Stove, such as Stars Fell on Alabama, 57.5, and Quiet in the South. These tracks underlined Lana’s continued interest in storytelling tied to place and memory.

The title is inspired by Sylvia Plath’s suicide when she placed her head inside a stove.

Final Notes on the January 30 Date

Fans have debated Stove’s release timing, since so far Lana herself has not released an official pre-order or cover art with that precise date. The January 30, 2026 target from Tonspion and related outlets should be seen as a strong industry signal from a well-connected music news outlet, rather than a formal announcement from the artist’s label or social channels.

With the album now firmly tied to a late January 2026 window, and Tonspion pointing specifically to January 30, listeners are watching for Lana’s official rollout to begin in earnest.

When Lana Del Rey revealed the final title of her long-awaited tenth studio album in her W Magazine cover story, it seemed almost too simple: Stove. The plainness of the word is disarming, but for listeners who know Lana’s literary leanings, it resonates with a darker, more poetic echo. It is impossible not to think of Sylvia Plath – the kitchen as both cradle of creation and site of destruction, a domestic symbol heavy with love, labour, and despair.

The title is not minimalism for its own sake. It’s a metaphor, unsettling and loaded, one that speaks directly to Lana’s long-standing obsession with the line between intimacy and collapse. The stove is where Sylvia wrote poems, raised children, and died. On the evening of February 11, 1963, Sylvia Plath tucked her two children into bed before putting her head in the oven and taking her own life through the inhalation of natural gas. It is the enclosed space that becomes both sanctuary and tomb. To name an album after it feels like Lana is pressing her palm against that same threshold, transforming a household object into a monument of pain and persistence.

Fans have already begun to speculate that this is Lana’s most explicit dialogue with Plath yet. One interpretation frames the stove as “a metaphor for the enclosed woman, the pain that simmers, the silence that thickens.” Another notes how Plath once asked, “Is there no way out of the mind?” – a question Lana might now be answering with her own work, as if the record itself is an attempt to escape the house, the trauma, the mind that traps. If so, Stove is less a title than a warning: an epitaph whispered low, carrying with it the smell of gas and jasmine.

That tension makes its pairing with country music all the more fascinating. As Lana explained in W, the album’s delay came from her decision to add six new, deeply autobiographical tracks – songs so personal they demanded time. The record, she said, would carry the storytelling and intimacy of country, a genre where world-building thrives on lived experience.

Already, her singles Henry, Come On and Bluebird suggest a handmade, Americana-tinged sound. To place those songs under the sign of Stove suggests an album that simmers quietly in the kitchen, charged with memory, sorrow, and heat.

At first glance, the word may appear almost utilitarian, stripped of ornament. But Lana has always been a writer who buries worlds inside ordinary objects. With Stove, she’s giving us something more than a name: she’s giving us a symbol. It’s domestic, tragic, poetic – part Plath, part Lana, and entirely alive with the uneasy beauty that defines her work.

The Tease: Track 13 Sparks Speculation

On August 13, 2025, Lana Del Rey posted a snippet on Instagram teasing track 13 of her upcoming album (formerly titled The Right Person Will Stay) – produced by Jack Antonoff – that includes the lyric:

“Ethel Cain hated my Instagram post” Lana Del Rey WikiX (formerly Twitter)

The fandom-savvy Lana del Rey Wiki reports the track is indeed titled All About Ethel, dating back to a 2022 recording and labelled a “diss track” targeting Ethel Cain, notably referencing their mutual connection to Jack Donoghue Lana Del Rey Wiki.

The Jack Triangle: A Tangled Timeline

In early 2022, Lana reportedly dated Salem’s Jack Donoghue, including posting together in front of Chicago’s Cook County Jail People.comLanaBoards – Lana Del Rey Forum.

Rumors also linked Jack to Ethel Cain, though she later denied a romantic relationship RedditLanaBoards – Lana Del Rey Forum.

This shared connection fuels speculation that the song – and the drama – is a personal callout, a poetic airing of complex feelings about overlapping love interests.

Ethel Cain’s Role: Fan, Cover Artist, or Something More?

Ethel Cain has long acknowledged Lana’s influence – covering songs like Born to Die and posting content that prominently cites Lana. In online communities like Reddit, fans note:

“she made strange tweets about ‘pushing [Lana] over’ in response to someone saying ‘Lana walked so Ethel could run’…”
“There’s an unreleased song called ‘All About Ethel’ from 2022… multiple leakers … have said it’s about Ethel Cain (to the point where she says her full name in the lyrics: ‘Ethel Cain hated my Instagram post’)” Reddit.

This reveals a history of intertwined admiration, tension, and overtones of rivalry in online fan narratives.

The Blocked IG Story: New Fuel Added

Today, Ethel Cain posted an Instagram story claiming that Lana Del Rey blocked her – adding more intrigue to the unfolding situation. The timing of this post, paired with the track tease, only raises further eyebrows.

Is It Real… or Just a Show?

All signs point toward a calculated drama:

Both artists may benefit from amplified attention. A diss track publicly calling out another artist is bound to generate buzz

The overlap with Jack Donoghue – plus the emotional weight of referencing similar social media posts (like the “Chicago pose”), as implied in the lyrics Lana Del Rey Wiki – feels too pointed to be accidental

This kind of public performance – playing with conflict, name-checking, and fan speculation – has become familiar in the pop-culture promotion playbook

That said, we can’t entirely dismiss that there may be real hurt, irritation, or creative tension at play as well. But given the choreography of the timing and the platforms involved, a publicity angle seems undeniably present.

TL;DR

Lana teased track 13, All About Ethel, with a lyric threatening, “Ethel Cain hated my Instagram post.” Lana Del Rey WikiX (formerly Twitter)

Both women were linked – with Jack Donoghue – around 2022, fuelling speculation

Ethel has openly covered Lana’s music and previously acted defensive or reactive online

Today’s Instagram story from Ethel, claiming she’s been blocked by Lana, gives it a new twist

All signs suggest this might be a staged drama to drive attention – but it could also be real

Final Thought: It’s the perfect pop-culture cocktail – a snippet, an ex-linked muse, a looming diss track, and an Instagram block. Whether heartbreak or hype, fans are watching – and that might be precisely the point.

UPDATE – IT IS REAL

LDR via IG: I didn’t know who Ethel was until a few years ago when someone brought to my attention the disturbing and graphic side-by-side images she would often put up of me next to unflattering creatures and cartoon characters making constant comments about my weight, I was confused at what she was getting at. Then when I heard what she was saying behind closed doors from mutual friends and started inserting herself into my personal life I was definitely disturbed.

In the deep rooted lore of Lana Del Rey’s music career, traditionally steeped in cinematic and melancholy allure, concepts of doomed romance, and vintage glamour, her song Summertime Sadness holds a unique place as her only Grammy-winning track, though not in the way most would expect.

Originally the song was a brooding ballad from her 2012 album Born to Die. It was then transformed by French DJ Cedric Gervais into a pulsing EDM hit, which lit up clubs and radio in 2013. It was this unexpected remix that earned the song a Grammy Award for Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical in 2014. This marks Lana’s first and only Grammy win.

The irony is evident. The haunting original, which was true to her artistic vision, only found mainstream and industry recognition after being reshaped into something accessible. This brings us to 2025, when Tonal Swell released their own cover of Summertime Sadness. Naturally, we were curious and couldn’t wait to listen and share our experience.

The Tonal Swell cover opens with a cosmic soundscape, expanding with atmospheric vocals and a delicate energy as we are immersed in the intention of the original version of the song. We learn that the re-imagining features brass and wind arrangements to create a lush, vintage feel. The creator tells us, “Every element has been carefully crafted from scratch with meticulous attention to sonic detail.”

We appreciate the high emotional quotient that transmutes, and the mix feels cinematic and refined. Speaking further, Tonal Swell confesses, “I’ve always listened to Lana’s tracks with a special sense of inspiration. Her songs filled me with tranquility and thoughts of the incredible and dreamlike.”

This vibe certainly manifests with the cover, and we love the poetic grace that the iconic lyrics are delivered with. The drums are crisp and textured and the cover boasts an epic drums outro, which is unique and a really nice addition to the composition!

Naturally, we have added Tonal Swell‘s cover of Summertime Sadness to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TIMELESS playlist, whilst we anticipate future covers and original releases from the rising artist!

Few collaborations in modern music feel as natural and fated as those between The Weeknd and Lana Del Rey. Their artistic synergy, spanning nearly a decade, has yielded some of the most atmospheric and emotionally charged tracks in contemporary pop. From Prisoner (2015) and Stargirl Interlude (2016) to Lust for Life (2017), their voices – his drenched in tormented sensuality, hers draped in cinematic melancholy – have always intertwined beautifully. Each time they collaborate, there’s a sense of effortless cohesion, as if they exist in the same sonic universe of doomed romance and faded grandeur. With The Abyss, however, they take their trademark ethereal sadness to an even darker place. This is not just another melancholic love song – it is a funeral hymn for hope itself.

The track opens with a stark yet breathtakingly beautiful piano, played with a kind of divine restraint that makes every note feel like it’s teetering on the edge of silence. There’s a sacred quality to it, almost as if the music is playing from some celestial realm just beyond reach. The weight of the song builds gradually, with emotive synths creeping in like an encroaching storm, swelling and retreating in waves of despair. The opus expands with The Weekend’s signature soundscape of whirring baselines, intricate high hats and dimensional synths.

Lyrically, The Abyss is one of The Weeknd’s most harrowing compositions, confronting mortality, regret, and the desperate grasp for meaning in the face of oblivion – marking the end of an era as this record serves as his final in this format. An ode to his fans if you might.

The opening lines – “I tried my best to not let you go / I don’t like the view from halfway down” – immediately set a tone of despair, as if the protagonist is reflecting on a decision made too late to undo. The phrase “halfway down” evokes a terrifying moment of realization, where regret sets in mid-fall, but there’s no way back. When he asks, “Will I feel the impact of the ground?” it’s as if he’s caught in the limbo between action and consequence, unsure whether the final moment will bring pain or just an empty, weightless nothingness. His anguish deepens as he confesses, “I tried to be something that I’ll never be,” a stark admission of self-doubt and the futility of chasing an identity that was never his to claim. There’s an urgency in his words—”Why waste another precious hour? / Why waste another precious ounce?” – as if time itself is slipping through his fingers. The mention of leaving “somewhat of a legacy” suggests that even in the depths of despair, there is a desire to be remembered, a final attempt to leave a mark before disappearing entirely.

The chorus only amplifies this feeling of resignation and impending doom. When The Weeknd pleads, “Let me close my eyes with dignity / Let’s end it all, the world’s not far behind,” it’s as though he’s seeking solace in the idea that his fate is not just his own but part of something larger – a collapsing world where nothing is worth saving. The phrase “It’s going up in flames, I know” paints an apocalyptic picture, suggesting that destruction is inevitable, whether on a personal or global scale. The sense of finality is chilling, and yet there is an eerie calm to his delivery, as if he has already accepted what is to come.

The second verse shifts into something even more intimate, as The Weeknd clings to the last remnants of love before his descent is complete. “Just hold my heartbeat close to you / Remember how it always beats for you”, is a desperate plea for connection, a final grasp at something tangible before slipping into the void. As he falls “at the speed of light,” he watches his lover’s face shrink from view, begging her not to cry, even as he knows this is the last time they will see each other. When he whispers, “One last time, say that you want me too / The only words that gave me life,” it is utterly devastating. Love was his last tether to existence, the only thing that made life bearable, and now, even that is gone.

Lana Del Rey’s outro is ghostly, her voice floating like a disembodied spirit watching the tragedy unfold. “Mama, I’ll pray / I’m running away” is delivered with a dreamlike detachment, as if she is both participant and observer. The line “Is a threat not a promise?” lingers ominously, raising the question of whether the protagonist’s words were meant as a warning or an unavoidable truth. There’s an eerie ambiguity to it – does she mean that death is inevitable, not just for him but for everyone? Or is she implying that his cries for help were never taken seriously? The phrase repeats like a haunting mantra, blending into the final moments of the song, where voices overlap and dissolve into the abyss itself.

The Abyss is a masterpiece of despair, a sonic descent into darkness that lingers long after the final notes fade. The production is immaculate, balancing delicate piano with swelling synths to create an atmosphere of both intimacy and enormity. The Weeknd’s lyrics are some of his most raw and existential, capturing the terrifying beauty of finality, while Lana Del Rey’s spectral presence adds an almost supernatural dimension. As a continuation of their storied collaborations, “The Abyss” stands as one of their most powerful and devastating works – an intimate, symphonic tragedy that leaves us breathless. We have added the opus to our New Music Spotlight playlist,

British photographer Nadia Lee Cohen has teamed up with Kim Kardashian and SKIMS once again for this year’s Valentine’s Day campaign, starring none other than recording artist, Lana Del Rey.

Nadia Lee Cohen also recently shot Lana Del Rey for the cover of Interview Magazine last March. The campaign itself is breathtaking, where we see Lana in her signature glamorous aesthetic, showcasing a beautiful and sexy collection.

In her post on Instagram, Kim excitedly captioned, “Our SKIMS Valentine LANA DEL REY. Music’s queen of hearts @honeymoon opens our dedicated Valentine’s Shop on Tuesday, January 23 at 9AM PT / 12PM ET.”

Lana comments, ““I’ve been a big fan of SKIMS since the beginning, so being featured in their Valentine’s campaign is so exciting.” She adds, “Their collection is so pretty and dreamy, which made collaborating with Nadia Lee Cohen on the creative so fun. I hope you love it as much as I do.”

After Lana Del Rey sung at one of Kim Kardashian’s weddings, we haven’t really seen much of the pair together, so this makes for a wonderful pop culture moment. We look forward to seeing the roll out of the campaign, and hope that Lana Del Rey appears in the next season of The Kardashians, where we can experience a more extensive behind the scenes look at how the campaign was engineered. In the meantime, we will enjoy the gallery herein and anticipate future music releases and Lana’s headline Coachella show this year!
