Drawing us in with a meditative soundscape and the sound of crickets, Kat Kikta opens Dreamer with ethereal vocals and a cinematic allure as she questions, “What you doing in my dreams?”. We are enthralled by the energy that the track exudes and Kat’s whimsical prose, as she takes us on an introspective journey.

There is no doubt that Dreamer would be perfect for a multitude of sync placements. It feels perfect for an episode of Euphoria on HBO, in a dream sequence with Jules perhaps, or a Sofia Coppola film. The spoken word verses are literal and grounding, and feel zeitgeist and contemporary, rooted in raw authenticity. These are intertwined with a more celestial delivery for the choruses and a transcendental, trip-hop build.

The production is exquisite, and the song comes with an epic music video which sees Kat in her home, going on an adventure, to the beach, into the sea, on the London underground and beyond.

On the concept, Kat shares, “A persistent entity troubles the dreamer who awakes and tries to make peace with the trespassing projection. Perhaps she is talking in her sleep.”

The video for Dreamer has already received notable recognition on the international film festival circuit. It won the Award Winner title for Best Film at the Golden Lion International Film Festival (GLIFF) 2026. In addition to this major win, it was also selected as an Official Selection at the Athens International Monthly Art Film Festival 2027 and the East Village New York Film Festival 2026. This is truly groundbreaking work before the launch of the single. Our minds are blown! Kat Kikta truly is the manifestor of her own destiny.

We learn that Dreamer is the last single before the release of Kat Kikta‘s debut album Moldavite, and naturally, we cannot wait to experience it. In the meantime, we have added Dreamer to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TIMELESS and TRIPPY playlists, whilst we continue to stream the wider discography of Kat Kikta, and anticipate future releases.

You can imagine our excitement to experience the first Kat Kikta release of 2026, titled Story. The track opens with a brooding meditative tone and droplet sounds, expanding with spiritual toms as Kat shares a delicate timbre with a narrative-based concept.

Kat recounts, “I have a story for you, that I need to tell, once upon a time, there was a lonely man, his heart cried and cried, he had it all but love, he kneeled down to pray one night, ‘God show me the way…'” We are intrigued and appreciate the journey that we are being taken on thus far.

Story evolves into a tale that “serves as a shamanic rite of shedding the old to make way for the new, fostering hope for the future. It celebrates the seasonal renewal of nature alongside the rekindling of human feelings, love and identity, honouring the power to transform.”

Fans of Björk will be able to connect with Story, but the high spiritual quotient and cosmic dimensionality that manifests is truly Kat Kikta‘s own design. The strings arrangement is sublime, adding emotional depth and orchestral grandeur to the tale.

Kat confesses, “It’s an amazing thing when a song is specific and finds you right when you need to hear it, like God is a DJ, and is watching and mixing a soundtrack for your life. Story came to me in a dream, I aimed to translate the message I received without interfering with it, so I wanted to make a song that wasn’t lined up with a popular sound or a trending feel, a song that would come out of nowhere for someone and really connect like that, in a divine way.”

We are in awe of the shamanic energy that transmutes with the delicate and intricate track, and as Kat sings, “now it’s time for love…” this resonates on a collective level, as love is what we need now more than ever. Also from a cinematic standpoint, there is no doubt that Story would fit into the new Interview with a Vampire series.

We have added Story to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TRIPPY playlist, whilst we continue to stream the wider discography of Kat Kikta, including I Let You Go, and Was It Almost Love?, and await the music video and Transglobal Underground remix.

Last week, we had the honour of featuring Sophia Aya and Kat Kikta as they took us on a transcendental trip, inviting us to connect with our heart’s centre and the universe with the cosmic opus, The Sea Of Almost, so when we heard that the consistently brilliant Kat Kikta was back today with Your Voice In My Ear, we couldn’t wait to listen and share our experience.

The composition opens with a cerebral, yet meditative energy with spoken word ad libs forming a conversation-style interaction. In line with The Sea Of Almost, this feels like the beginning of a DMT trip. Highly psychedelic and connected in nature. The panning vocals, the oneness, the intertwined souls, all create a prophetic, philosophical energy that feels like the universe talking to us.

“I want you to feel, me…” whisper the voices. The intimacy is beautiful. The female vocal is almost in tears, delicate in its essence, and the in-breaths add soul. The male voice is guiding and poetic. There is a cinematic allure, reminding us of the movie Her (2013).

The piece expands with trippy, almost industrial details, beeping sounds and a textured beat that is subtle but driving at the same time, as if we are on a cosmic adventure with the artist. It’s ethereal in nature, conscious in design and peaceful in its creation. We feel warm and at one with the cosmic. Perfect for a mushroom trip!

Kat shares, “The song intricately explores a deeply sexual and tender flirtation unfolding within a strangely disembodied space; it could be a long-distance phone call or a cyber-psychic melding of minds. As we listen, the boundaries between physical yearning and profound soulful connection blur, like a tide line, creating a transient atmosphere filled with emotional depth and connection. This exchange is driven by sonic and lyrical complexity that complements the song’s ambitious concept, evoking the essence of 80s pioneers like Laurie Anderson.”

As always, we are in awe of Kat Kikta, and have added Your Voice In My Ear to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TIMELESS and TRIPPY playlists, whilst we continue to stream the instrumental version, as well as The Sea Of Almost, and anticipate future releases from the visionary artist!

Establishing the mood with a meditative yet slightly cerebral frequency with glitched nuances and rippling astral textures that feel psychedelic adjacent, Sophia Aya (the alter ego of Kat Kikta) opens The Sea Of Almost with dimensionality and notions of peace.

The ten minute opus expands with a cathartic, healing and conscious energy. It feels like the piece was intended to vibrate every single cell in our bodies at the same resonance as the ocean. The feeling of immersion in a sound bath of water perhaps – the most prolific element in our universal composition.

Brief vocal harmonies guide us further into the peaceful world that Sophia Aya has created. We feel at one with the artist, with sound, with dihydrogen monoxide and the universe. There is a clear intentional energy that manifests with the composition – like ayahuasca integration music.

From knowing Kat Kikta‘s wider discography and Sophia Aya‘s releases thus far – we know that she is a consciously astute artist who vibrates on a high frequency. This is solidified with The Sea Of Almost. A gong sound awakens us further, tapping into that ancestral healing energy that our planet needs now more than ever.

The high timbre astral vocal textures feel like we are in the second Avatar movie – The Way of Water, which is highly aligned with the title of this piece. Sophia tells us, “This is a cinematic, neo-classical sound journey about loss and releasing of all that doesn’t serve us in life – wiping the slate clean and getting ready for a new beginning. Freeing and liberating, yet also sad and painful…”

She adds with reference to her artistry, “This embodies a pursuit of higher consciousness, channeling a deeply spiritual and poetic approach to music. It is my intention to create a space where listeners can reconnect with their inner truths.”

The eventual build of the track is nothing short of transcendental. It culminates in a feeling of euphoria before a subtle and elegant breakdown for the finale, ending in an almost cerebral, brooding whistle.

Naturally, we are in awe of the composition, and grateful for Sophia Aya‘s cosmic work. We have added The Sea Of Almost to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TIMELESS playlist, but also two more of our playlists, TRIP and Love Frequency, which are for personal use, as we feel very connected with this opus and the two accompanying versions.

We previously featured Kat Kikta’s poignant message on collective suffering with an optimistic edge, Cherry Trees, and her sublime and avant-garde Fine Young Cannibals cover, He Drives Me Crazy, and her alter ego Sophia Aya as she manifested an immersive, mystical, and spiritually transcendent soundscape with Slow Trees, so when we found out that Kat had released Was It Almost Love?, we were curious to say the least, and couldn’t wait to listen and share our experience!

The song opens with a spoken word monologue with a haunting, cosmic soundscape accompaniment as the star questions, “I keep asking myself, was I too much for you? What did I say or do that split us up in two?”

She breaks into song with delicate and ethereal vocals as she continues her introspective notions. The sonic design is divine. Brooding bass thuds, luscious synths and intricate nuances that manifest a soundscape that aligns deeply with the emotion that Kat brings to life with her universe.

Kat confesses, “At the centre of the song is this moment where you realise you don’t need someone else to feel love or to define your own sense of worth. It is a song for anyone who’s been broken hearted, ghosted, and left wondering if that’s all they deserve in this life? We’re not meant to die with an ending of a relationships – but sometimes it feels that way. I wish this song brings hope, illumination and conclusion to those relationships which didn’t get a closure.”

The layered vocals and intonation remind us of early Bjork. The spoken word reprise for the finale is cathartic, as Kat shares the words, “All the love I need, I have in my heart.” It is a self-fulfilling prophecy with the ultimate message of self-realisation and self-commitment, which is what we all need in this day and age. The reassurance that we are complete on our own. That is the most magnetic energy you can have.

Kat Kikta is a brilliant and visionary creative and we are always in awe of her releases. Her experimental sound is always unique and her intention brand of creativity is what we search for in this world. We have added Was It Almost Love? to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TRIPPY playlist, whilst we continue to stream Kat’s growing discography.

We previously featured Kat Kikta as she shared a philosophical and poignant message on collective suffering with an optimistic edge on her single, Cherry Trees, so when we heard that the star was back with He Drives Me Crazy, we were curious to say the least, and couldn’t wait to listen and share our experience.

Drawing us in with spiritual toms and astral textures with birds tweeting, Kat Kikta opens He Drives Me Crazy with an ethereal and dimensional energy, like we are tripping into a cosmic dimensional. Her atmospheric vocals are sublime, detailed with celestial bell tones, an emerging Eastern beat and a narrative of a lived experience which feels both universally relatable yet dimensional.

Of course, the song is a gender swapped cover of She Drives Me Crazy, originally by British group Fine Young Cannibals, released as a single on January 1st, 1989, and included on the band’s album The Raw & The Cooked.

The song was particularly successful in the US where it hit Number 1 on the Billboard charts on April 15, 1989. It has been used in countless films and adverts, and Kat’s version has a very 2025 vibe with a mystical edge.

Kat Kikta‘s version could manifest a synch deal for a progressive Netflix series, or a scene from HBO”s Euphoria. It is sublime and psychedelic and needless to say, we are completely obsessed. Speaking on the release, Kat says “I don’t know anyone who doesn’t really love this song. I’ve made this track because I love the original so much that I had to touch it and play with it and find more ways to fall in love with the song. I wanted to re-frame its surroundings and gift it additional life, in another world.”

Naturally we have added Kat Kikta‘s version of He Drives Me Crazy to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TIMELESS and TRIPPY playlists, whilst we anticipate the video release next week, and continue to stream the wider discography of the talented star, including Magic and Cherry Trees and the instrumental version of He Drives Me Crazy!

Cherry Trees by Kat Kikta is a transcendental piece of optimistic art as much as it is meditation on our current reality. An array acting like layers of shimmery astral texture melts seamlessly into tribal drum hits giving the song a celestial phenomenal vibe.

Kat Kikta’s poignant lyrics, “How can I carry on living in my own world?”, alongside the beat’s sophistication ask a question that allows us to participate in a collective conscious. Cherry Trees is demonstrably outside of entertainment and caters to those willing to be awoken.

A magical invocation rather than a song, Cherry Trees is interlaced with hypnotizing melodies of spoken word and Enya-like vocals. With an equally high amount of abstraction of the clouds above Earth, Kikta serves as a beacon of hope, bringing us to a place of necessary calm. While holding all other sound fusion instruments, layered vocals and motion picture like production gives birth to an atmosphere of weightlessness representing a suspension in time while the essence of inner peace is truly able to germinate.

Cherry Trees holds a strong message both for society and within a particular time frame. It advocates for peace and functions as a musical declaration against the chaos of contemporary social unrest and politics. During times when reason is too often replaced with divisive strategies, Kikta’s composition serves as a reminder that harmony is not merely an ideal but a necessity for the future. The song’s beauty lies in its ability to be both deeply personal and universally relevant.

The music video set in Slovakia captures the picturesque scenery and enhances the cinematic quality of the track. It is through these multidimensional endeavors that Kikta further solidifies her message concerning attaining peace and healing as not only abstract ideas but as something real.

Kikta’s approach to music has a high intentional quotient; she crafts an emotional and spiritual experience. She fuses healing frequencies with harp and violin melodies, and organic sounds, demonstrating her commitment to music as a holistic form of expression. This ambient, electronic, and folk fusion creates a new dimension on her artistry where beauty intertwines with meaning.

Cherry Trees feel like a movement toward protopia. Kat Kikta is an artist of change who transforms and inspires, guiding us to dive deep within themselves while surrendering to the world with gentler and hopeful eyes. We have added the opus to our New Music Spotlight playlist and our TRIPPY and TIMELESS playlists!
