<p>Establishing the mood with a psychedelic and reverberating guitar soundscape with astral strums and a textured drum build, the <strong>Julie July Band</strong> opens <strong><em>All in Our Minds </em></strong>with notions of cosmic dimensionality. <strong>Julie July </strong>shares philosophical and metaphorical depth as she sings the vibrant and introspective questions, &#8220;Would you believe crystal streams of palest blue? Would you believe magnetic waves that see through you? Would you believe violet trees that join the queue?&#8221;</p>

<p>As we are well versed in Julie July&#8217;s artistry, we immediately connect with the high spiritual quotient of what she is conveying. These questions are followed by the hook, &#8220;All in our minds&#8230; all in our minds&#8230;&#8221; which repeats like a mantra to remind us that life is indeed a cosmic illusion. </p>

<p>We love the poetic depth that manifests &#8211; velvet fields of sugar cane, gilded tunics in the rain, twenty-seven liquorice trains &#8211; and the fantastical universe that the <strong>Julie July Band</strong> creates &#8211; both sonically and visually.</p>

<p>There is no doubt that <strong><em>All in Our Minds </em></strong>would be perfect on the rooftop of Petit Ermitage in Hollywood, Los Angeles where psychedelic adjacent songs like this invite us into an alternate dimension, providing escapism from the turmoil of the physical world and reminding us that everything is a meta simulation. </p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img data-recalc-dims="1" fetchpriority="high" decoding="async" width="1020" height="949" src="https://i0.wp.com/karlismyunkle.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/Julie_July_0015.jpg?resize=1020%2C949&#038;ssl=1" alt="" class="wp-image-53236" srcset="https://i0.wp.com/karlismyunkle.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/Julie_July_0015-scaled.jpg?resize=1020%2C949&amp;ssl=1 1020w, https://i0.wp.com/karlismyunkle.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/Julie_July_0015-scaled.jpg?resize=632%2C588&amp;ssl=1 632w, https://i0.wp.com/karlismyunkle.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/Julie_July_0015-scaled.jpg?resize=768%2C714&amp;ssl=1 768w, https://i0.wp.com/karlismyunkle.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/Julie_July_0015-scaled.jpg?zoom=2&amp;resize=1020%2C949&amp;ssl=1 2040w" sizes="(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px" /></figure>

<p>Speaking on the release which is taken from the band&#8217;s album, <strong>Flight of Fancy</strong>, the<strong> Julie July Band </strong>confesses, &#8220;<em><strong>All in Our Minds</strong></em> plays with the idea that the worlds we imagine can feel just as real as the ones we live in. We love songs that leave space for the listener, where the meaning isn’t fixed, but shifts depending on how you hear it.&#8221;</p>

<p>They elaborate, also with reference to their intention with the album, &#8220;<strong>Flight of Fancy </strong>was about letting the songs be more colourful, more playful, and trusting imagination rather than over-explaining. We’re inspired by the freedom of 70s folk-rock and psychedelic music, but we always want the song itself to come first. There’s a sense of wonder in this track — it’s slightly surreal, but still rooted in melody and feeling.&#8221;</p>

<p>As always, we are in awe, and have added <strong><em>All in Our Minds</em></strong> to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TRIPPY and TIMELESS playlists, whilst we continue to stream the wider discography of the <strong>Julie July Band</strong>, including the entirety of <strong>Flight of Fancy</strong>!</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-spotify wp-block-embed-spotify wp-embed-aspect-21-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<iframe title="Spotify Embed: Risky Game" style="border-radius: 12px" width="100%" height="152" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen allow="autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; fullscreen; picture-in-picture" loading="lazy" src="https://open.spotify.com/embed/track/1s6WnOjCsWcE58v4vyqRzi?si=b5cc63afa1ef4562&#038;utm_source=oembed"></iframe>
</div></figure>

<p>Establishing the mood with a descending guitar soundscape with a funk-rock adjacency, the <strong>Julie July Band</strong> opens<strong><em> Risky Game </em></strong>with assertive prose from Julie as she sings, &#8220;We need to take a walk and have that talk, cos something&#8217;s taking hold of me inside, the word is on the street that you ain&#8217;t acting sweet, seems to me you&#8217;ve got something to hide&#8230;&#8221;</p>

<p>The opus expands with the signature instrumental mastery that the <strong>Julie July Band</strong> creates with. They consistently design a cohesive tapestry of sound with emotional resonance and a poignant message. </p>

<p>This time, <strong><em>Risky Game</em></strong> explores the emotional tension and uncertainty that comes with love &#8211; particularly when desire, vulnerability and temptation collide. The song captures that bittersweet space where affection feels thrilling yet precarious. In essence, it reflects on how love can be both intoxicating and perilous, but worth it!</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img data-recalc-dims="1" decoding="async" width="1020" height="680" src="https://i0.wp.com/karlismyunkle.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/Julie-July-poster.jpeg?resize=1020%2C680&#038;ssl=1" alt="" class="wp-image-52462" srcset="https://i0.wp.com/karlismyunkle.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/Julie-July-poster.jpeg?resize=1020%2C680&amp;ssl=1 1020w, https://i0.wp.com/karlismyunkle.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/Julie-July-poster.jpeg?resize=632%2C421&amp;ssl=1 632w, https://i0.wp.com/karlismyunkle.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/Julie-July-poster.jpeg?resize=768%2C511&amp;ssl=1 768w, https://i0.wp.com/karlismyunkle.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/Julie-July-poster.jpeg?w=1280&amp;ssl=1 1280w" sizes="(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px" /></figure>

<p>The guitar performances are transcendental, and we deeply connect with how the<strong> Julie July Band</strong> craft original music rooted in the folk-rock, blues, and poetic storytelling traditions of the 60s and 70s, whilst still giving those influences a clean and contemporary lift. </p>

<p>We know that the band has spent the past decade touring UK theatres, arts centres, and festivals, building an enthusiastic and dedicated following. Their musical DNA includes echoes of <strong>Fleetwood Mac, Fairport Convention, Joan Baez, Dire Straits </strong>and more, enriched by a line-up of seasoned musicians with ties to artists like <strong>Steve Hackett, Thin Lizzy, </strong>and<strong> Aztec Camera.</strong></p>

<p><strong><em>Risky Game</em></strong> is from the band&#8217;s acclaimed album <strong>Flight of Fancy</strong>, and embodies their signature blend of rootsy instrumentation, soulful guitar work, tight grooves and heartfelt vocals. As always, we are in awe, and have added <strong><em>Risky Game</em></strong> to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TIMELESS playlist, whilst we continue to stream the entirety of <strong>Flight of Fancy</strong>, and anticipate future releases from the <strong>Julie July Band</strong>!</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-spotify wp-block-embed-spotify wp-embed-aspect-21-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<iframe title="Spotify Embed: Smoke and Mirrors" style="border-radius: 12px" width="100%" height="152" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen allow="autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; fullscreen; picture-in-picture" loading="lazy" src="https://open.spotify.com/embed/track/3JsmG95VVhqX9IFjWtq3pI?si=0b1d2b160d234603&#038;utm_source=oembed"></iframe>
</div></figure>

<p>Our obsession with the <strong>Julie July Band</strong> seems to grow with every listen, we recently featured <a href="https://karlismyunkle.com/2025/10/02/exploring-the-philosophical-depths-and-cinematic-soundscapes-of-julie-july-bands-til-the-sun-goes-down-a-reflective-journey-through-nostalgia-hope-and-gnostic-futurism/">Til the Sun Goes Down,</a> <a href="https://karlismyunkle.com/2025/09/30/the-julie-july-band-shares-their-high-spiritual-quotient-and-adventurous-cinematic-nature-with-philosophically-astute-new-single-seven-cities-of-gold/">Seven Cities of Gold</a>, and <a href="https://karlismyunkle.com/2025/10/14/the-julie-july-band-shares-notions-of-eternal-love-that-transcends-time-with-new-single-gold-dust/">Gold Dust</a>, so naturally, we wanted to feature their brand new release, <strong><em>Smoke and Mirrors</em></strong>!</p>

<p>Released in the wake of the Libra new moon, <strong><em>Smoke and Mirrors</em></strong> opens with a haunting organ performance and dramatic strings as <strong>Julie July</strong> sings, &#8220;Smoke and mirrors, saints are sinners, trickery is truth, so who&#8217;s the winner?&#8221;</p>

<p>We are immediately enthralled by the evocative and prophetic nature of the prose. The philosophical depth that <strong>Julie July</strong> manifests is tangible, and the message feels highly zeitgeist considering the current political climate. </p>

<p>The opus expands with intelligent prose about division, cerebral games, and the suppression of the human race through deceit. The vocal harmonies are lush, and we are reminded of The Eagles&#8217; Hotel California sonically. </p>

<figure class="wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex">
<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img data-recalc-dims="1" decoding="async" width="1020" height="680" data-id="51344" src="https://i0.wp.com/karlismyunkle.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Julie_July_0025.jpg?resize=1020%2C680&#038;ssl=1" alt="" class="wp-image-51344" srcset="https://i0.wp.com/karlismyunkle.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Julie_July_0025-scaled.jpg?resize=1020%2C680&amp;ssl=1 1020w, https://i0.wp.com/karlismyunkle.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Julie_July_0025-scaled.jpg?resize=632%2C421&amp;ssl=1 632w, https://i0.wp.com/karlismyunkle.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Julie_July_0025-scaled.jpg?resize=768%2C512&amp;ssl=1 768w, https://i0.wp.com/karlismyunkle.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Julie_July_0025-scaled.jpg?zoom=2&amp;resize=1020%2C680&amp;ssl=1 2040w" sizes="(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px" /></figure>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img data-recalc-dims="1" loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1020" height="680" data-id="51343" src="https://i0.wp.com/karlismyunkle.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/IMG_0539.jpg?resize=1020%2C680&#038;ssl=1" alt="" class="wp-image-51343" srcset="https://i0.wp.com/karlismyunkle.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/IMG_0539-scaled.jpg?resize=1020%2C680&amp;ssl=1 1020w, https://i0.wp.com/karlismyunkle.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/IMG_0539-scaled.jpg?resize=632%2C421&amp;ssl=1 632w, https://i0.wp.com/karlismyunkle.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/IMG_0539-scaled.jpg?resize=768%2C512&amp;ssl=1 768w, https://i0.wp.com/karlismyunkle.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/IMG_0539-scaled.jpg?zoom=2&amp;resize=1020%2C680&amp;ssl=1 2040w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px" /></figure>
</figure>

<p>The composition brings to life the drama of the message perfectly. Truly, the <strong>Julie July Band</strong> is sharing their art as activism to shine a light on the corruption that is deep rooted in society. The band describes the track as &#8220;a razor-sharp satire on how political leaders and their media sycophants twist lies into truth and illusion into spectacle.&#8221;</p>

<p><strong><em>Smoke and Mirrors </em></strong>is designed to target the growing wave of populist politics and the manipulation of truth. It captures the frustration of living in a world where deceit is rewarded and those in power practice a global sleight of hand. Julie says, &#8220;It’s about illusion, deception and the theatre of lies — a world where we’re manipulated by leaders who pretend it’s all truth. It’s a horror show in its own right.&#8221;</p>

<p>Naturally, we are in awe and appreciate the intentional depth of the message. We have added <strong><em>Smoke and Mirrors </em></strong>to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TIMELESS playlist, whilst we continue to stream the exquisite discography of the <strong>Julie July Band</strong>, and anticipate future releases!</p>

<p>Following the philosophically expansive <em><strong><a href="https://karlismyunkle.com/2025/09/30/the-julie-july-band-shares-their-high-spiritual-quotient-and-adventurous-cinematic-nature-with-philosophically-astute-new-single-seven-cities-of-gold/">Seven Cities of Gold</a></strong></em> and the deeply cinematic <em><strong><a href="https://karlismyunkle.com/2025/10/02/exploring-the-philosophical-depths-and-cinematic-soundscapes-of-julie-july-bands-til-the-sun-goes-down-a-reflective-journey-through-nostalgia-hope-and-gnostic-futurism/">Til the Sun Goes Down</a></strong></em>, the iconic and mesmerising <strong>Julie July Band</strong> are back with <em><strong>Gold Dust</strong></em>, which is another incredible song from their album, <strong>Wonderland</strong>. </p>

<p>As with the <strong>Julie July Band</strong>&#8216;s record, <em><strong>Gold Dust</strong></em> feels like a mirage that is suspended between dream and memory. It shimmers with notions of nostalgia and transcendence, serving up an intimate meditation on love, loss and the golden traces that linger.</p>

<p>The track opens with an intricate piano motif which is delicate, crystalline and contemplative. There’s an intimate fragility to the cinematic piece. “<em>Turn the clock back to a time that seems like only yesterday&#8230;</em>” is moving. The words immediately pull us into a reflective space.</p>

<p>The production itself is masterfully restrained and allows the soulful nature of Julie July&#8217;s vocals to truly manifest. As the song progresses, strings emerge to weave warmth and resonance. In essence, <em><strong>Gold Dust</strong></em> captures the ache of looking back. It brings to life the relatable vibe of wanting to turn the clock to a time that felt pure and whole. </p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img data-recalc-dims="1" loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1020" height="1020" src="https://i0.wp.com/karlismyunkle.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/GOLD_DUST_ARTWORK.png?resize=1020%2C1020&#038;ssl=1" alt="" class="wp-image-50504" srcset="https://i0.wp.com/karlismyunkle.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/GOLD_DUST_ARTWORK.png?resize=1020%2C1020&amp;ssl=1 1020w, https://i0.wp.com/karlismyunkle.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/GOLD_DUST_ARTWORK.png?resize=632%2C632&amp;ssl=1 632w, https://i0.wp.com/karlismyunkle.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/GOLD_DUST_ARTWORK.png?resize=768%2C768&amp;ssl=1 768w, https://i0.wp.com/karlismyunkle.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/GOLD_DUST_ARTWORK.png?resize=100%2C100&amp;ssl=1 100w, https://i0.wp.com/karlismyunkle.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/GOLD_DUST_ARTWORK.png?resize=1536%2C1536&amp;ssl=1 1536w, https://i0.wp.com/karlismyunkle.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/GOLD_DUST_ARTWORK.png?resize=2048%2C2048&amp;ssl=1 2048w, https://i0.wp.com/karlismyunkle.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/GOLD_DUST_ARTWORK.png?w=1400&amp;ssl=1 1400w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px" /></figure>

<p>The song speaks of two souls who shared something powerful yet fleeting. Through lines like <em>“You were never mine”</em> and <em>“Remember my love each morning in gold dust”,</em> the song reflects on how love transforms into something spiritual. </p>

<p>At its heart, it is a meditation on time and the beauty of what remains. The “gold dust” becomes a symbol for the memories, emotions and the energy that survive beyond physical presence. It’s about accepting impermanence whilst celebrating eternity. Genius. </p>

<p>Naturally, we have added <strong><em>Gold Dust</em></strong> to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TIMELESS playlist, whilst we continue to stream <strong>Wonderland</strong>, and anticipate future releases from the <strong>Julie July Band</strong>!</p>

<p>We recently featured <a href="https://karlismyunkle.com/2025/09/30/the-julie-july-band-shares-their-high-spiritual-quotient-and-adventurous-cinematic-nature-with-philosophically-astute-new-single-seven-cities-of-gold/">the Julie July Band for their high spiritual quotient and adventurous, cinematic nature with the philosophically astute single, Seven Cities of Gold</a>, so when we heard that <strong>Julie July</strong> was back with <strong><em>Til the Sun Goes Down</em></strong>, we were curious to say the least, and couldn&#8217;t wait to listen and share our experience. </p>

<p>Drawing us in with a rhythmic cowbell and electric guitar soundscape, expanding with toms and a bassline, <strong><em>Til the Sun Goes Down</em></strong> opens with intrigue and dimensionality. The opus evolves with textured drums and an astral guitar melody to invite us further into <strong>Julie July</strong>&#8216;s conceptual universe before she sings, &#8220;We stand at the headland looking over the sea, and there in the distance leagues away the shining and the glimmer of the orient&#8230;&#8221;</p>

<p>In essence, the lyrics describe a quiet moment of reflection. <strong>Julie July</strong> envisages standing on a headland whilst looking out at the sea. She notices distant lights and beauty, suggesting dreams and possibilities that seem far away. The metaphorical depth is outstanding as always, and we are captivated by the cinematic approach to songwriting. </p>

<p><strong><em>Til the Sun Goes Down</em></strong> reflects on the passage of time. The “end of the road” feels distant, which symbolizes life’s long journey. The town represents notions of comfort and routine, which kept Julie (and humanity) from leaving before. Yet now, a new opportunity appears, “a path to the stars”, symbolizing hope and ambition for the individual and the collective. </p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img data-recalc-dims="1" loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1020" height="1023" src="https://i0.wp.com/karlismyunkle.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Screenshot_2025-09-30_at_182548.png?resize=1020%2C1023&#038;ssl=1" alt="" class="wp-image-50276" srcset="https://i0.wp.com/karlismyunkle.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Screenshot_2025-09-30_at_182548.png?resize=1020%2C1023&amp;ssl=1 1020w, https://i0.wp.com/karlismyunkle.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Screenshot_2025-09-30_at_182548.png?resize=632%2C634&amp;ssl=1 632w, https://i0.wp.com/karlismyunkle.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Screenshot_2025-09-30_at_182548.png?resize=768%2C770&amp;ssl=1 768w, https://i0.wp.com/karlismyunkle.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Screenshot_2025-09-30_at_182548.png?resize=100%2C100&amp;ssl=1 100w, https://i0.wp.com/karlismyunkle.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Screenshot_2025-09-30_at_182548.png?w=1838&amp;ssl=1 1838w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px" /></figure>

<p>There is a sense of patience and anticipation within the prose. The repeated hook “wait till the Sun Goes Down” suggests waiting for the right moment to pursue our dreams. Shadows and fading light emphasize feelings of change and transition. Overall, the lyrics fuse nostalgia with the excitement of conscious new beginnings &#8211; there is a gnostic ancient futurism that seems to manifest with <strong>Julie July</strong>&#8216;s brand of songwriting, and needless to say, we are in awe. </p>

<p>We learn that <strong><em>Til the Sun Goes Down</em></strong> is taken from the <strong>Julie July</strong> <strong>Band</strong>&#8216;s third album, <strong>Wonderland</strong> (Aurora Folk Records), which features <strong>Julie July</strong> on vocals, of course, with <strong>Steve Rezillo</strong> on electric guitar and vocals,<strong> Caley Groves</strong> on acoustic guitar and vocals, <strong>Dik Cadbury </strong>on bass, guitars and vocals,<strong> Carol Lee Sampson</strong> on keyboards and vocals, and <strong>Mick Candler</strong> on drums and percussion, whilst <strong>Catherine</strong> <strong>Harper</strong> plays cello, and <strong>Dan</strong> <strong>Neville</strong> performs violin and viola!</p>

<p>Naturally, we are hypnotized by the philosophical journey that the<strong> Julie July</strong> <strong>Band</strong> takes us on, and we have added <strong><em>Til the Sun Goes Down</em></strong> to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TIMELESS playlist, whilst we continue to stream the entirety of <strong>Wonderland</strong>! </p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-spotify wp-block-embed-spotify wp-embed-aspect-21-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<iframe title="Spotify Embed: Seven Cities of Gold" style="border-radius: 12px" width="100%" height="152" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen allow="autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; fullscreen; picture-in-picture" loading="lazy" src="https://open.spotify.com/embed/track/0bPUOODxzGMi9XpJQFKp6k?si=a4f467c183044ffb&#038;utm_source=oembed"></iframe>
</div></figure>

<p>Establishing the mood with a bold and dimensional folk-rock soundscape, the <strong>Julie July Band</strong> opens <strong><em>Seven Cities of Gold</em></strong> with prophetic prose and the fantastical, yet metaphorical lyrics, &#8220;When we find the hidden secrets, of this wild and lonely land, we will fight for the fortune, as we travel hastily across the sand&#8230;&#8221;</p>

<p>The opus expands with instrumental mastery, sublime vocals from<strong> Julie July</strong> and a conscious, existential message. In essence, <strong><em>Seven Cities of Gold</em></strong> paints a vivid picture of myth, desire and human restlessness. </p>

<p>The lyrics evoke notions of old legends, cinematic visions of explorers searching for treasure in distant lands, whilst battling loneliness and danger along the way. Beneath the imagery, there’s an intentional and astute sense of longing &#8211; not just for wealth, but for meaning in the unknown. </p>

<p>The chorus is introspective, asking whether these quests are guided by the divine or if they are driven by human hunger. This feels extremely zeitgeist in the capitalistic world that we have all grown up in. This gives the song its emotional pull &#8211; are we seekers of spirit or slaves to ambition? </p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img data-recalc-dims="1" loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1020" height="680" src="https://i0.wp.com/karlismyunkle.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/julie-july-band-classic_film_colour-2.jpg?resize=1020%2C680&#038;ssl=1" alt="" class="wp-image-50218" srcset="https://i0.wp.com/karlismyunkle.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/julie-july-band-classic_film_colour-2.jpg?resize=1020%2C680&amp;ssl=1 1020w, https://i0.wp.com/karlismyunkle.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/julie-july-band-classic_film_colour-2.jpg?resize=632%2C421&amp;ssl=1 632w, https://i0.wp.com/karlismyunkle.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/julie-july-band-classic_film_colour-2.jpg?resize=768%2C511&amp;ssl=1 768w, https://i0.wp.com/karlismyunkle.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/julie-july-band-classic_film_colour-2.jpg?w=2048&amp;ssl=1 2048w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px" /></figure>

<p>Sonically, we appreciate the dynamic production and the way that the music compliments the visual brand of storytelling &#8211; capturing both the romance and the peril of chasing dreams. There is no doubt that <strong><em>Seven Cities of Gold</em></strong> would be perfect for a range of sync deals, perhaps a sequel of <strong>Dune</strong>, or a Hollywood action-adventure film like <strong>Gods of Egypt</strong>. </p>

<p>It is no surprise that the band is often compared to icons like <strong>Sandy Denny</strong>, <strong>Fairport Convention</strong>, <strong>Fleetwood Mac</strong>, and <strong>Dire Strait</strong>s, blending classic influences with their own contemporary style, but there is no doubt that the <strong>Julie July Band</strong> is manifesting a unique sound unto their own. </p>

<p>We have added <strong><em>Seven Cities of Gold</em></strong> to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TIMELESS playlist, whilst we continue to stream the wider discography of the <strong>Julie July Band</strong>, including <strong><em>Mellow</em></strong>, and <strong><em>Smoke and Mirrors</em></strong>. </p>
