Setting the vibe with enigmatic frequencies and celestial vocal details, we are already hypnotized by JBT‘s second single, Can’t Hide.

After an immersive riser, JBT opens the track the lyrics, “I feel it in my heart… feels so dark and I can’t hide, I tired to run and run…” as the track expands and builds into an exquisite soundscape whilst Joe Bills delivers vulnerable and emotive vocals as he craves love and salvation.

Vocal delivery and production is literally incredible, and we are obsessed with the expansion and contraction of the track. When speaking on his influences, JBT cites Deadmau5, Calvin Harris, R3hab and Swedish House Mafia.

Speaking on the meaning of the track, JBT says, “This song is about winter time, and how it can feel depressing, especially when living in a northern climate like Canada, where the winters can last half the year. It goes over how sometimes I feel overwhelmed by the snow and the cold. Puts me in a dark place sometimes.”

The hooks “try to smoke to get high” and “please somebody save my life” really stay in your head. When discussing his intention for the track, JBT says, “I want to get everyone on their feet. I want to make people dance.”
