Jaw Dropping opens with a dimensional, shimmering soundscape with a reverberating sub-bass and astral frequencies as Nuk shares his captivating timbre and epic flow with whirring car noises, cerebral echoes and poetic intention.

Laser shooting sounds and confident ad-libs punctuate the track with bell tones and conceptual metaphors. As for the message of the song, Jaw Dropping is assertive, empowering and about proving doubters wrong.

Nuk shows us how he essentially pushes through a fake, unreliable music industry whilst staying true to himself. Jaw Dropping reflects the artist’s frustration with people in the industry who made false promises or tried to downplay him. This is a common theme amongst artists and Nuk really makes them feel seen with his candid approach to songwriting with Jaw Dropping.

Instead of giving up, he channels this trauma and push-back into confidence, authenticity and determination. It’s a bold statement of self-belief. Nuk shows that even without support, he’s going to succeed and make people take notice.

He really taps into timeless hip-hop notions, and Nuk even mentions Ludacris in the song, which is a nod to one of his idols and an artist that he has been compared to, and is influenced by. Jaw Dropping was produced with excaliburbeats and comes with an epic and cinematic red-tinted film-noir music video shot by Roze.
