The cinematic opus takes us on a journey through dark pop and electronica with the very serious theme of overcoming childhood sexual abuse.

James Bene explores human emotion as he recounts his history, transforming his pain into power. The rising artist, who has already released two singles before Mountain, uses his voice to heal himself and those that experience his art.

Mountain is an autobiographical piece written from the heart as he deals with the torment of his past and seeks to inspire himself and those in a similar situation.

Some lyrical highlights include the profound “I walked a million miles searching for a light”, the vulnerable “my skin began to harden and somehow I became a mountain”, and the empowering “Now courage flows through my veins, I wear my bruise like a ring, it’s a sign of my strength…”
