The Chicago-based creator cites Dakiti by Bad Bunny and Jhay Cortez as a reference, although it is clear that Izoki is creating a universe of his own. Izoki is a 20 year old artist, producer and plant enthusiast from Chicago, who is on the rise. Making a name for himself as a young prodigy creating a diversified catalogue of instrumentals and entertaining the people of the internet with his alter ego “Plant boy”.

His production and work ethic at only the age of 20 has amassed him over 7 thousand YouTube subscribers and has gotten him noticed by celebrity barber VicBlends, his beat was used in the famous barber’s reel with over 1 million views. There is always a place for conscious vegan activism in music, and Izoki‘s latest release I EAT PLANTS is an ode to life force energy. Opening with a enigmatic beat and a comedic reference to the constipation that non-vegans face, the song expands into quite a polished hybrid-trap soundscape.

Our protagonist, Izoki, takes us on a journey, rapping through the various plants that he loves and eats, by choosing to uplift them one by one. From celery to carrots, and kiwi to seaweed, we remember how integral the consumption of plants (only) is to manifesting world peace.

The hook has a vibrant echo, and there are crunching sounds littered into the production to give it that dynamism.

I EAT PLANTS also comes with a music video with Izoki dressed as a giant aubergine and performing to camera, feeding his friend vegetables and there are even glimpses of iconic emerging vegans such as Lizzo!
