<p>We recently wrote about <a href="https://karlismyunkle.com/2022/02/28/ihatejon-releases-polished-ode-to-self-love-igotme/"><strong>iHATEJON</strong> and his polished ode to self love, iGOTME</a>, so we were thrilled to hear that the rising artist had just released his new single, <strong><em>See No Evil. </em></strong></p>

<p>Setting the tone with enigmatic panning synths, whilst echoing vocal details deliver cerebral spoken word excepts of <em>&#8220;hear no, speak no, see no&#8230;&#8221;</em>, <strong><em>See No Evil</em></strong> expands to deliver an eloquent and introspective flow from <strong>iHATEJON</strong>. </p>

<p>The alternative hip-hop star settles the score with toxic relationships on the track, and assesses his boundaries as he delivers the poignant lyrics,<em> &#8220;She took my heart and she abused it, but I didn&#8217;t mind that, she took my heart off of the music</em>, <em>and I can&#8217;t get that time back&#8230;&#8221;</em></p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img fetchpriority="high" decoding="async" width="1125" height="1679" src="https://i0.wp.com/karlismyunkle.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/iHATEJON-See_No_Evil-IMG_2409_3_1.jpg?fit=1020%2C1522&amp;ssl=1" alt="" class="wp-image-26764" srcset="https://i0.wp.com/karlismyunkle.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/iHATEJON-See_No_Evil-IMG_2409_3_1.jpg?w=1125&amp;ssl=1 1125w, https://i0.wp.com/karlismyunkle.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/iHATEJON-See_No_Evil-IMG_2409_3_1.jpg?resize=632%2C943&amp;ssl=1 632w, https://i0.wp.com/karlismyunkle.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/iHATEJON-See_No_Evil-IMG_2409_3_1.jpg?resize=1020%2C1522&amp;ssl=1 1020w, https://i0.wp.com/karlismyunkle.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/iHATEJON-See_No_Evil-IMG_2409_3_1.jpg?resize=768%2C1146&amp;ssl=1 768w" sizes="(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px" /></figure>

<p>The composition serves as a catharsis for <strong>iHATEJON</strong>, offering a &#8220;remedy to this toxicity in the form of focusing on himself, his music, and living in the present&#8221;. After all, he is a Cancer, and often that means being deeply connected to our emotions. </p>

<p><strong><em>See No Evil</em></strong> was brought to life in collaboration with Italian producer <strong>kleo</strong>. <strong>iHATEJON</strong>, who hails from North Carolina cites artists such as J Cole, Mac Miller, Dominic Fike and Lil Peep as influences, although it is clear that he is creating a dimension of his own. </p>

<p>We have added <strong><em>See No Evil</em></strong> to our New Music Spotlight playlist and continue steaming <strong>iHATEJON</strong>&#8216;s wider discography including <strong>U </strong><em>and</em><strong> iGOTME. </strong></p>
