Gully is an independent artist based in Bristol. Hailing originally from Portsmouth, his music began playing piano across the pubs of his hometown before drawing on the jazz and old soul influences of his repertoire and starting to write songs of his own.

The artist, who emanates hyper intelligence in their constructs, sound and artistry has an insanely unique style of vocal delivery that really elevates him. The artist also plays keys, drums, guitar, bass, synth, trumpet, trombone and saxophone. Casual.

We love his accent, the conversational tone of the song and they way the artist engages with himself energetically.

Gully, who is a U.K. artist, based in Bristol, and originally from Portsmouth cites soul, rock along Louis Armstrong, Jack Garratt, Samm Henshaw, Brasstracks, Nina Simone and Supertramp as some of his inspirations.

Speaking on the track, Gully says, “See the Sun is on one hand a self-interrogation; a turbulent battle with the artistic doubts of such things as whether I’ve “got my lines right” as well as then rebutting with self assurance by way of the funky brass-accompanied mantra, that I won’t stop until I See the Sun.”
