Setting the frequency with an enigmatic riser, pulsating laser-esque detailing, cerebral vocal sample and percussion whilst we are met with an immersive beat, glu opens his latest single ONAPILL! with a subversive, cyber energy.

The track expands to deliver a textured soundscape fused with atmospheric vocals that tell the story of a hedonistic and astral adventure, literally, on a pill (and cocaine).

ONAPILL! comes with a hypnotizing, psychedelic music video created by German animator DogxWillxHunt which sees our protagonist go on an astral adventure through time, space and the multiverse, with sickening and detailed visuals, mesmerizing characters and high end animation that really elevates the concept.

The beat itself consists of reversed samples, deep 808s and stripped back drums with glu and Mista ooF‘s intricate and complexed vocal delivery taking us on a journey. Additional production on the track is provided by Voidhood.

A lyrical highlight is “did it on my own, fuck a record deal…”, which cements glu as an assertive self-made artist, who doesn’t need the weight and exploitation of a label in his dimension. We support that energy.
