Speaking on the intention of Aphrodite, Frank Song Jr. confesses, “I wrote this song as a love spell and prayer. I’m sending a message out into the universe to call in my most epic love story yet.”

He continues, “I hope that the level of self love I have achieved is reflected in my future partner. I want all people, but mostly queer people to believe that they can have romance, that we aren’t destined to be alone or unhappy. I hope many people have hot steamy sex to this song, and explore new levels of passion and connection!”

The star cites Erykah Badu, Lianne La Havas, Whitney Houston, Iron and Wine, and East Asian Folk as sonic influences, which we can feel come to life with Aphrodite, although there is no doubt that Frank is manifesting a universe of his own.

On naming the track, Frank tells us, “I actually realized it was to be called Aphrodite because the writing of the song coincided with a trip I took to Greece. I felt the presence of love on that trip, and felt the landscape, ocean, scenery, and music envelope me in this song.”

Needless to say, we are completely in awe of Frank Song Jr.‘s vocal timbre, and the star is also joined by the talented Jordan Maia on backing vocals. The sublime and magnetic result is divine, and we are fully transfixed.
