Drawing us in with dimensional drums and an astral guitar soundscape, expanding with melodic and cerebral notions, Midnite Radio open Fear No Stars with the observational lyrics, “You seemed on the run, fleeing both the darkness and the sun, I could see it in your eyes, a flame no-one could recognise…”

We immediately connect with the cinematic allure of the track, and the intricacy of the instrumental performances, creating an almost industrial-grunge meets psychedelic energy. There is no doubt that fans of Placebo, Muse and Radiohead would be able to vibe with Fear No Stars, and the track would be perfect for a multitude of sync placements, notably a TV show like PLUR1BUS on Apple TV, or Nine Perfect Strangers.

The build of the track is sublime, leading us to an anthemic, euphoric, stadium-ready crescendo before a familiar reprise for the final chorus. The track comes with a cosmic music video which brings to life the energy of the song perfectly with lunar and psychedelic visuals. It almost feels like experiencing the Big Bang or a cosmic ascension in AV format!

We learn that Midnite Radio are from Lebanon, Tennessee. The project was founded by close friends Lee Coram (guitar), and Beak Wing (drums), who brought in Los Angeles-based singer and keyboard player Ken Christianson, along with bassist Miles Martin, and Jon Shearer to play lead guitar.

Fear No Stars is taken from the band’s EP, Auntie, which features five other tracks. They recorded at Forty One Fifteen studio in Nashville with engineer Charlie Chamberlain.
