Establishing the mood with astral keys, percussive clicks, and a playful bassline with textured ad libs, Fab$ opens Hot Girl Summer with a fierce and assertive flow as she shares the lyrics, “Time is wasting so we move, hot girl summer in the groove, check the baddies at the bar, cruising so low, til it’s dark…”

We immediately connect with the vibe and unfolding narrative of liberation and self-expression as we are invited to embrace our inner baddie and enjoy a hot girl summer. Perfectly timed for heatwaves around the world, the track is vibrant, fun and well produced.

The R&B-pop vibe that manifests with catchy hooks is empowering and cinematic. We could imagine the track being featured in ELLE – the upcoming prequel of Legally Blonde on Amazon Prime, or an episode of Euphoria in a scene with Cassie and Maddy. We could also see this going viral as a TikTok sound!

Speaking on the release, Fab$, who hails from Fontana, United States, says, “I wrote this for all the hot girls that are ready for the summer the time is to feel good about themselves and love the moment being at the beach feeling the air on their faces.”

Fans of Tyla, Megan Thee Stallion, Normani, and Britney Spears will be able to connect with what Fab$ has created. On an uplifting note, Fab$ adds some wisdom with the words, “Girls, be good to your bodies and just love the moment. I am pro female and wanted everyone not to be too hard on their appearances.”

Needless to say, we are in awe of what Fab$ has created, and appreciate the positive vibes and notions of liberation. We have added Hot Girl Summer to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TIMELESS playlist, whilst we continue to stream the wider discography Fab$, including Uneven Terrain, and Role Play, and await her transformative upcoming project Circle of Life.
