I Don’t Need To Hide Anymore opens with a pulsating heartbeat – again reflecting the medical reality that ESTRADA Music Project embodies. Layered over this are siren-like frequencies and psychedelic synths, supported by a steady, hypnotic bassline. It’s melodic, trippy and immersive.

Estrada’s atmospheric delivery feels situational and yet deeply introspective. Layered harmonies weave through the verses, whilst repeated refrains create depth. Each phrase delivers tension and release, and giving the song a meditative, mantra-esque vibe.

As always, raw emotion is at the heart of the track. There’s a clear William Orbit sensibility in the shimmering synth textures, blended with echoes of The Cure’s melancholic grunge-pop energy. The song manages to feel both glistening and high-octane.

Lyrically, the track is empowering. Lines like the hook “I don’t need to hide anymore…” serve as repeated affirmations, They emphasize notions of self-acceptance and authenticity. You Need to Go First opens with a telephone dial tone and a cerebral, almost laser-scan-esque soundscape with a mantra repetition of the words, “First you need to go…”, followed by a British phone voicemail response and then an American phone voice referencing a disconnected number.

Dr. Alejandro Estrada‘s vocals manifest a dark-wave energy like The Cure, with layered elements and lyrics about being on call. The concept paints a picture of a hospital doctor mid-surgery – again, ideal for synch deals for a hospital drama or even a more dramatic show like The Girlfriend on Amazon Prime where this could fit perfectly into.

We learn that the song is designed to serve as “a call to action and a message of support, addressing the common hesitation many young medical professionals feel.” Dr. Alejandro Estrada says, “Its core message is that while the support of a senior colleague is always there, the first step must be taken by the individual themselves.”

The intention of the track is to promote “courage and self-reliance” and “inspire confidence and resilience within the medical community”. We really appreciate this message, as doctors and surgeons around the world are often underpaid and undervalued, which can weigh heavily on their morale. Inspiring music helps lift their spirits, by offering motivation and strength as they continue their demanding work!

The opus expands with a dar wave adjacent guitar soundscape to take us on an emotive journey from Dr. Alejandro Estrada who is a practicing urologist creating music as a direct reflection of his medical experience. 

You Are Not Alone serves as a song dedicated to patients who are waiting to see a doctor and discuss their test results. Dr. Alejandro Estrada comments, “Whatever their response, this is a reminder that they are not alone…”

He sings, “We won’t be able to make you smile…” – the track has a very honest and relatable theme which anyone who has been in such a situation would be able to understand. It feels akin to a musical episode of Grey’s Anatomy if it was created by The Cure.

We love the dimensional dark wave synth-pop energy that manifests and the unique fusion of medical professionalism, human experience and music. What ESTRADA Music Project is manifesting is extremely unique, albeit something that people around the world can connect to on a personal level.

You Are Not Alone comes with a captivating music video that reflects the song’s themes, featuring “intricate art created within petri dishes, using microbiology cultures of bacteria and fungi to form beautiful and unexpected shapes.” Dr. Alejandro Estrada says, “This innovative concept draws a powerful parallel to finding beauty and hope in the clinical, often sterile, environment of medicine.”
