Erotika Dabra is an innovative and pioneering artist, bringing to life notions of subversion and sensuality with mind-bending, eye-opening tracks and live performances to provoke and enlighten. We featured Erotika Dabra for the cerebral invite to connect with our inner sex magick, EAT ME/DRINK ME, as well as the collaboration with Lioness, taking us on a psychedelic trip with the Erotika Rerub of My Own Magic.

The star is now back with a scorching reinterpretation of their fan‑favourite track G/Rave Girl – this time, “dragged through the dirt, drenched in distortion, and reborn as a grungy 160 BPM rave weapon.” Needless to say, we couldn’t wait to immerse ourselves in Erotika’s universe once more.

Opening with cerebral, syncopated percussion and a panning, gated synth, the Erotika Rerub of G/Rave Girl taps into a spacey art-house energy with drama and cinematic intrigue. A spoken word intro entrances us with echoed vocal production and poetic prowess.

“This girl wants to rave…” shares Erotika as they paint a picture of a protagonist constructed of relatable energy. “I wanted to take G/Rave Girl back to the warehouse, back to the sweat, the noise, the rawness that makes people fall in love with rave culture…”, confesses Erotika Dabra. “This version is messy, loud, and alive. It’s the track’s feral twin.”

There is no doubt that G/Rave Girl is perfect for an A24 film, or a scene from Euphoria on HBO, or perhaps even something darker, like a Blumhouse production. We deeply connect with the experimental design of the track and the picture that Erotika Dabra creates.

The new version is intentionally designed to evolve the bright, glowing energy of the original and turn it into something darker and heavier. Deep bass, intense drums, and a fierce hardcore rhythm come together. This manifests a track that still carries the same message, but feels bold and powerful in a whole new frequency. It is meant to celebrate the magic inside all of us, the kind that wakes up at midnight during a spooky skeleton rave.

We previously featured Erotika Dabra for the cerebral invitation to connect with our inner sex magick on EAT ME/DRINK ME, so when we heard that the star was back with My Own Magic (Erotika Rerub), we were curious to say the least, and couldn’t wait to listen and share our experience.

Establishing the mood with a cello performance that sounds like a Romani violin, evoking a cinematic allure, like a scene from Interview with the Vampire, Erotika Dabra opens the Erotika Rerub of My Own Magic with instrumental mastery and textured, almost psychedelic percussion before a brief giggle from Lioness draws us in further.

This cosmic energy feels like a DMT trip, it feels dimensional, the vocals are airy, panning and intriguing, whilst the glitches resemble an Ayahuasca awakening. It is brilliantly evocative and feels like a conversation with the universe. Lioness‘ raw vocals are sublime, magical and jarring at the same time. We feel entranced.

We learn that My Own Magic (Erotika Rerub) marks a bold new step for Erotika Dabra. Two years after the original release, they return with a track that feels both familiar and freshly charged. The rerub is designed to pull us into a sensual, intimate space, shaped by “sex magicks”.

The original version balanced the cello with sultry vocals and psychedelic elements. In this rerub, those pieces remain but transform. Electro swing textures give the track a vintage pulse, whilst modern production pushes it into sharper, more seductive territory.

As an experimental producer and pole dancer, we know that Erotika Dabra thrives at the crossroads of sound and movement. That connection manifests perfectly here. My Own Magic (Erotika Rerub) doesn’t just revisit the past, but it reclaims it. It’s a rebirth, a declaration and a promise of even more daring work to come.

The opus expands with intensity and depth as Erotika Dabra invites us to eat and drink them. The adventure feels like an incantation, an awakening – laced with sex magick – in line with the artist’s cleverly created moniker!

Speaking on the mind-bending and inspiring track, the artiste – known for merging intricate electronic production with the physical artistry of pole dance – confesses “It’s the shattering of the divide between fantasy and reality. The moan of sheer ecstasy when I realised the fantasy I had used to navigate the darkness had woven its magic into the life around me, and there is sexual power within.”

We deeply appreciate the internal empowerment and the cerebral depth that Erotika Dabra manifests with their message. The sound design is exquisite – perfect for a live performance at a club night like Torture Garden.

EAT ME/DRINK ME is set to come with a visually astounding music video that brings the notions of the song to life visually, featuring choreography by Ellixir and Erotika Dabra alongside dancers from TBR Studios, which we cannot wait to experience.
