We recently featured Elisa V when she shared her unique and dimensional debut, Love of Yesterday, so when we heard that the visionary artist was back with How You Feel, we were curious to say the least, and couldn’t wait to immerse ourselves in her sonic universe and convey our experience.

How You Feel opens with a pitched vocal singing, “I just wanna know-ow, tell me how you feel… I just wanna know-ow, tell me this is real..” before evolving with a textured riser, expanding claps and a dimensional beat.

Of course, Elisa V‘s violin skills are front and centre with an Eastern-infused melody, intertwined with the dynamic production. We love the astral detailing, the sensual drums and the vocal samples that appear and dissipate.

Overall, the production is immaculate – a reflection of Elisa V‘s industry experience. The cymbals, the violin melody switch-ups and the creative ebbs and flows of the production which keep us enthralled throughout. We are immediately enthralled by the unique production of the track. The depth that manifests is tangible, and we feel immersed – taken on a cosmic, dance-pop trip with an avant-garde edge. The violin instrumentation is masterful and the hook is captivating.

There is a cinematic allure to the piece, perfect for a cerebral TV show like Killing Eve, or the final credits of an episode of Nine Perfect Strangers – it is exactly the type of song that they would use for this show! There is even a 007 James Bond vibe that manifests with the track – truly it is a masterpiece!

On her debut, Elisa V confesses, “Coming from a classical background, I always try to push beyond boundaries. After many years of touring across the globe and performing at both classical festivals and party venues, I am starting my career as a releasing artist. Love of Yesterday is a combination of modern dance deep house and a classical violin.”
