Establishing the mood with a reverberating Eastern energy and a meditative synthscape with ethereal ad libs related to the title of the track, Consequential opens Cravin’ with a cosmic vibe before expanding into a dimensional drum’n’bass meets jungle energy.

As always with Consequential, the production is pristine. It has an atmospheric vibe, with a high emotional quotient, whilst manifesting a boundless frequency. The moment of silence at the centre of the composition is a genius move. The rebuild taps into an 8-bit energy with dynamic synth arpeggios and a static detailing before an anthemic, 360 degree reprise.

We love the airy risers and the unique structure. Consequential always shows his innovative approach, and Cravin’ is another example of this. There is a worldly flair to the composition, and his sound design nuances are captivating. The talented composer describes Cravin‘ as “liquid dnb with trance and dub elements, golden hour music…”. This explains the artwork and the gooey celestial vibes that transmute!

The track marks Consequential‘s debut on the renowned WoodysWorldRecords NZ. We learn that it was recorded entirely in the box with real-world samples, and even features a sample featuring the artist’s dog catching a tennis ball. Genius!
