Pepsi Releases First Beyoncé Promo, King B Clones Herself

So that Beyonce six second teaser that went viral yesterday was actually for a Pepsi commercial/music video that I heard was in production a few months ago, so it is kinda awesome to finally see it come to life. The one minute video (featuring a new Timbaland produced track “Grown Woman”) stars pretty much every memorable iteration of Beyoncé’s “iconic” looks – well, maybe not the jumpsuit from Bills, Bills, Bills or weave from Get On The Bus.

Here’s Bootylicious Beyoncé, Crazy In Love Beyoncé, Naughty Girl Beyoncé, Love On Top Beyoncé and, well…Sasha Fierce along with a set of GIFs that are about to go viral. Standard.

The commercial for Britney Spears’ newest fragrance Fantasy Twist has appeared online. We saw previews of Britney dressed as a flapper and Cleopatra a couple of months back, but there was no fixed date for the release of the campaign. The track featured is none other than Goldfrapp’s Beautiful. Britney was styled by Paris Libby.

Possibly the best fragrance commercial in the history of time. This trumps everything. Here is Gaga’s FAME 30 second TV spot directed by Steven Klein. Hair by Frederic Aspiras. Styling By Brandon Maxwell and visual Effects and production by Digital Domain and Ridley Scott and Associates. It’s also available in YouTube 3D. I mean, you even get to see The Fame era Gaga and it is basically the hyper real sequel to the Alejandro video.

nicki minaj: the pepsi commercials

After various video and announcement leaks (including her lyric “Argentina for Pepsi” in the track HOV Lane) over the last couple of months, the first slew of Nicki Minaj for Pepsi commercials have finally arrived. The spots include a 30-second and 60-second edit, along with an extended 3D version where you have various viewing options including a “no glasses” option. If you look closely in the extended cut version, you will spot designer and Pepsi fashion ambassador Betsey Johnson front row.

In addition to the below content created by Omnicom and dubbed collectively as “Live For Now”, Nicki is still set to be the face of Pepsi’s new soft drink Pop – out later this year. The campaign will include a live streamed performance via Twitter. This rather huge campaign coupled with the signing of a post-humus Michael Jackson for a further print campaign sees the brand’s return to its serious pop culture heritage which has included the likes of Britney, Beyonce and Madonna.

Is there anything more to say than that? Here is the one minute TV commercial directed by the incredible Darren Aronofsky starring Jessica Biel and Pharrell. The ad features Pharrell on the soundtrack, and a 30 second edited version is set to his UK TV screens very soon. In essence, this is the perfect template for how adverts and online video content should be made – credible actors, director and soundtrack.

The thirty second clip even features a cameo from Lagerfeld’s muse and KARLISMYUNKLE favourite Baptiste Giabiconi. The commercial is directed by Johan Renck, who also directed the video for Madonna’s Hung Up.
