]]> Following various leaked images, speculation (which ended up being correct) and tonnes of fan art, the official artwork for Lana Del Rey’s Tropico has arrived – shot by her sister Chuck Grant. Lana first announced this on September 24, 2012 when she dropped the album sampler for The Paradise Edition. It was just a nod to the word in the YouTube credits, so almost a year later it is fair to say that this has been kept fairly under wraps.

Tropico is a thirty minute short film – a tale of redemption told to the music of ‘Body Electric’, ‘Gods & Monsters’ and ‘Bel Air’. The film stars albino male model Shaun Ross alongside Lana, and is directed by Anthony Mandler (Ride, National Anthem). Aside from the promo videos for Young & Beautiful and Chelsea Hotel No.2, and the self-filmed video for Summer Wine, it has to believe that we haven’t had a high budget Lana Del Rey video since last September. Premiere dates to be announced soon.

]]> By now y’all pretty much know that Lana Del Rey has an extremely talented photographer for a sister, Chuck Grant. The duo has been working on a shoot titled Dreamland – set in “Dreamland” – the subject of numerous literary references and former amusement park at Coney Island, Brooklyn which existed between 1904 and 1911 hosting primarily freak shows.
