Setting the tone with enigmatic and pulsing electric guitar, fused with a vibrant vocal, and synthetic frequencies, book NOT brooke opens her new single, Popsicle with the sage advice, “Enjoy your popsicle, before it melts onto the sidewalk…”

Popsicle expands into a playful indie meets alternative pop vibe with incredible flow from the rising artist from Nashville. Speaking on the meaning of the song, book NOT brooke (also known as Brooke Vespoli) tells us “This song is my innocent love letter to absolutely anyone. With Summer on the horizon, I hope this song finds the ears of those who might need a bit of laughter, who might find joy in something as small as a popsicle, or a cheerful little song.”

We really appreciate the metaphor of a melting popsicle to send a message of encouragement and optimism. The track was produced with Nashville engineer Jake Bibb. book NOT brooke wrote the charming opus whilst eating a popsicle, she elaborates, “It started as a playful journal entry that soon turned into a sweet love letter of sorts.”

She continues, “The lyrics felt so juvenile and obvious, and they really just made me laugh as I wrote them. This song represents the innocent gestures humans make to cheer each other up. It is a reminder to savor the moment and to stay lighthearted when things don’t go as planned.”
