Setting the tone with super refined, avant-garde guitar cohesively fused with breathy vocals, BC Roadz opens his new song Comfort Blues with spoken word, “I guess it’s just one of those things, nobody can know the pain I feel, you know what I mean, there’s only one way I can express it, that’s right here, right now mother f***ers…”

“I cannot find my way to comfort, lonely is all I know, so if you find a path please tell me, cos I don’t know where to go…”, and thus begins the narrative adventure that “sound artist” BC Roadz lays down for us.

Elements of his artistry include comedy, extensive detail in musical instrumentation and a charismatic personality that shines in Comfort Blues and BC Roadz’ other records.

Speaking on the themes of the track, BC says, “Comfort Blues is about our protagonists views on spirituality, psychedelics, and life in general. It’s a comedic gem.”

“Provocative but heartfelt, this track is mostly about the pain that we all share, no matter how much religion or substance use is involved.”

We adore the depth that BC goes through to convey his message, his prowess and full 360 degree aura give life to such interesting themes and songs such as D.D. and A.D.

BC has been influenced by Muddy Waters, Johnny Cash, John Lee Hooker, Howlin’ Wolf, Black Keys, Jack White, Led Zeppelin, Bukka White, Townes Van Zandt and many more, which come through in his art, although unique in its own right.

On a sad note, BC recently lost his father and moved from Salt Lake City to to Houston to care for his mother. This was the last song the artist recorded before he left Utah.
