The opus expands into a soft rock meets art pop hybrid soundscape which is a unique and high concept love song from artificial intelligence to the human race.

Elaborating on the theme of the song, Anya Mia compares AI to “that friend we claim we don’t want, but can’t get rid of”. The lo-fi groovy sound helps paint an imaginative picture of technology, fusing elements of retro with the concept of futurism.

With training at the flute up to the Royal Conservatory Grade 10 Level, and as a budding singer songwriter on the guitar by her late teens…life intervened for Anya Mia, and she abandoned music for three decades for a career as an arts journalist.

Speaking on her comeback to music, the rising artist from Hamilton in Canada confesses, “Now that I’ve rediscovered songwriting and performance, I bring a range of influences, from the classical music my family listened to, and the R&B, funk, and pop on the radio as I was growing up, and exposure to multiple genres as an adult, to my own music – and a unique perspective that results in an eclectic style.”
