Words cannot express how excited the world is for the new season of Ryan Murphy’s American Horror Story and the previews and teasers just keep on giving. EW just premiered the official first look at Lady Gaga in her new TV role alongside the rest of the cast and what can I say, it looks phenomenal. Some of the plot has also been unveiled by Mr Murphy including the following highlight on Gaga’s character ‘The Countess’. I really don’t want to spoil the rest for you!

…The owner of the titular Hotel Cortez, The Countess is a glamorous but deadly creature who sustains on a healthy diet of sex and blood — she kills with her very fashionable but very sharp chainmail glove. “She’s extremely strong,” explains Gaga. “She’s been through so much. It’s kind of impossible for anything to penetrate her.”

Gaga is joining the cast of American Horror Story (Season 5, Hotel) as a series regular, which is possibly the best news ever – at least since Jessica Lange performed Gods & Monsters during American Horror Story Freakshow. It completely makes sense and the sonic and visual value that Gaga would add to the show is pretty much unparalleled.
